Oluboye Emmanuel Ministry© Mobile Daily Devotional Week 21, Day 5, Thursday, 21st May, 2026 TOPIC: GOD'S SPOKEN WORDS: We Are Peculiar (5)

TOPIC: GOD'S SPOKEN WORDS: We Are Peculiar (5)

One Year Bible Reading:
2 Kings 6 - 7
John 10: 1 - 21

MEMORY VERSE:
2 Corinthians 4:13.
"13. We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I Believed, And Therefore Have I Spoken; We Also Believe, And Therefore Speak;"

BIBLE READING:
1 Peter 2:9.
"9. But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:"

Thinking Point:
You may not look like what God said concerning you but you are what He says.

May the light of God within us shine for the world to see, reveal us as a solution to our generation in Jesus' mighty name, Amen.

What God said concerning us may not look like what we are today but that is who we have been declared to be. God's words are spirit and life, in order words, every word of God contains life backed by His Spirit, so whatever He says can't be altered. Remember His word in Numbers 23:19,
"19. God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?"

He can't lie or change His mind concerning you and I. His words are final, they are Yes and Amen. We may not look like the prince and princess He called us. We may be far from being the Holy nation, peculiar people but the truth is this, that is what we are to Him and that is who we will become if we are ready to walk with it. How? By living with the mentality of a peculiar people, a holy nation. When we walk in the light of God's word we become what He says we are, we reflect what we see in the morrow of God's word, according to 2 Corinthians 3:18,
"18. But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

We can become like Him by beholding the scripture. When we behold Him and walk in that light we will become that peculiar person, that holy nation whom He declared us to be. Nothing works without working it out. God said, when we hear and believe it then we should walk in it to become what He says. Giving our lives to Christ is access to a certificate of sonship but we need to walk it out. The result will be vivid to all men to see, He said, “that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:" we wouldn't need to tell others that we are peculiar but our lifestyle will show it, our attitude will make it known and we will become a mirror for others to become like Jesus. Receive it. Believe it. Walk it and be like it, then make others be like Him through your lifestyle, that us the mandate of God for us.

God Bless you and Good Morning.
