"13. We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I Believed, And Therefore Have I Spoken; We Also Believe, And Therefore Speak;"
BIBLE READING:
Isaiah 49:24-25.
"24. Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captive delivered?
15. But thus saith the LORD, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children."
Thinking Point:
Freedom is largely a product of one's mentality, not just physical appearance.
Whatever may be oppressing you and I, that keeps us awake all night, that put fear in our hearts, either debt, childlessness, joblessness, marital challenges, chaos in place of work, this morning, God is saying, it's over in our lives in Jesus mighty name, Amen.
God's Spoken word is the focus for this week. Remember what the Bible says, that every word of God will never return to Him void without accomplishing what it sent to do, Isaiah 55:10-11, so therefore, what God said about me and you is final, they can't be changed by men or situations. He said He will free us from burdens, calamities, issues of life and free us from being a lawful captive and He has done it already but what is our mentality saying to us? What is our thought saying to us?
Freedom is all about one's mentality. If you believe you are freed mentally that makes you a free man. Freedom mentality tells you to do what you can't do when you are under bondage. Freedom mentality makes you see yourself as a different person, according to whom God says you are. God was speaking through Prophet Isaiah, "Even if you are lawfully captured I will free you" Isaiah 49:24-25, freedom has been declared and through Jesus it has been established. Jesus said,
"32. And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." John 8:32
Knowing the truth about Jesus being the saviour of the world gives us freedom from every issue of life. How? The truth tells us that Jesus has won the victory and went forward to say,
"36. If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed." - John 8:36.
We are freed since Jesus sets us free. We are liberated from every shackles both spirituality and physically but our mentality is holding us back, our actions makes us feel as if we are in bondage. We have been set free from every bondage, we need to act as a free man. We need to change our mentality from being held up by any curse or family limitations. We have been set free by Jesus Death. We are freed humans if we have Him as our Lord and saviour. Every change starts from within. Change your thoughts and your life will change. Believe that you have been liberated, because the Son has freed us, we are free indeed. Work on your mentality and your life will take a new shape.
