2 Tim. 2:15
"Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."
BIBLE READING:
2 kings 4:5-7.
"5 So she went from him and shut the door behind her and her sons, who brought the vessels to her; and she poured it out. 6 Now it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said to her son, “Bring me another vessel.” And he said to her, “There is not another vessel.” So the oil ceased."
Thinking Point:
Total Obedience to God's instructions is the birth divine act of God.
HAPPY NEW MONTH TO EVERYONE. JUNE IS OUR MONTH OF "WALKING IN FAITH"
This new month, our faith will be evident to all and our miracle will be seen. The proof of faith is the result, it will become reality in our lives this month in Jesus' mighty name, Amen.
Every obedience to God's instruction is a sign of Faith. When you follow instructions without questioning it you are walking in Faith, and no one who walks in faith ends up with shame, we will not know shame in Jesus' precious name, Amen.
Yesterday, we studied how instruction was given out by Elisha and the instructions sounded impossible but the woman responded in Faith. Faith prompts Total obedience, I mean, full obedience to the instruction that looks reproaching. She followed the instruction without sidelining any of it. She went home, borrowed pots, locked the door against her family and began to fill the pots with the oil, complete faith. Halleluyah!
King Saul was unable to do that. He felt obedience can be partial like many believers today. He saw what was good to the eyes and neglected the instruction and the credibility of the giver. That ended his reign in Israel. The widow finished all the instructions and a jar of oil became pots of oil, How? Total Obedience.
Many of us had the opportunity for life changing instructions but how obedient are we to those instructions? Many have the call of God upon their lives, yes, they answered but maneuvering the instruction of the caller along the line. Yes, many marriages were founded on God's instruction but were wrongly built with disobedience to the instructions to marriage in the Bible. Some disobeyed God's Instruction and called it wisdom (earthly wisdom) no, it's disobedience.
1 Sam. 15:22, says,
"So Samuel said: “Has the LORD has great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, As in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, And to heed than the fat of rams."
Total Obedience gladdens the heart of God. When it comes to giving God our resources we dilute our obedience, we turn the other way but God's instructions are final, they have no replacement. How obedient are you? Total or partial obedience? What instructions are you dodging from? Walk in faith with those instructions.
Father, help me carry out your instructions regardless of the situation surrounding me in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
