TOPIC: FAITH IN GOD: Choosing Possibilities Over Problems (3)

“Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.”
Thinking Point:
Faith is a choice to make, a decision to believe in possibilities.
This is the day that the Lord has made, we shall rejoice and be glad in it. It doesn’t matter how the week has been, give God the praise for being alive and healthy because He has done well for us, Hallelujah.
As we continue in our exploration of faith, I want to say: Faith is a choice for those who choose to walk in it. It’s a personal decision. Nobody will believe for you, you have to believe it yourself. Others can join their faith with yours but you must have a little of it first. Faith is choosing between possibilities and problems. You decide what to believe: “I can make it” or “I can’t make it.” For every situation before us there’s always possibility and problem. Our mind is a battlefield. Every morning it will present you 100 reasons why it won’t work: “You’re too old. The gap is too wide. Visa is hard. Money is tight. They won’t accept me. I have failed many times.” There is always a reason to quit but if you can faith it by saying: “God is ageless, I’m not too old. Things will work out. I still have the strength to go on. Favour can get me that visa if I keep believing.” With this you are activating the God of possibility.
Faith refuses that negotiation. Faith chooses to ask a different question: “But what if God says yes?” The father with the sick son told Jesus “If you can…” Jesus corrected him: “If you can believe.” Problems speak in “if”. Faith speaks in “everything is possible”. The question is not: “If God can do it,” but “If I can believe it. If I can take the step of faith to see possibilities, not problems.”
Don’t stare at the wall of problems until you forget there’s a door of possibility. Look for God’s way. For every “no” your mind shouts, let faith shout “But God says…”
Choosing possibility doesn’t mean ignoring reality. It means refusing to let reality have the final say. God decides what He wants, not what presents itself. Put your faith to work.
Prayer Point:
Lord, reset my mindset today. Help me to stop magnifying my problems and start magnifying Your power. Teach me to choose possibilities, to believe Your word over my worries. Make all things possible for me as I believe. Amen.
