Oluboye Emmanuel Ministry© Mobile Daily Devotional Week 25, Day 2, Monday, 15th June 2026 TOPIC: Increasing Faith (1) (12)
TOPIC: Increasing Faith (1) (12)
One Year Bible Reading:
2 Chronicles 23 - 25
Acts 5:12 - 42
MEMORY VERSE:
Hebrews 11:1.
"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."
BIBLE READING:
Luke 17:5-6
“And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith.”
“And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.”
Thinking Point :
To increase your faith is to keep walking in faith daily, repeatedly.
This week is blessed with the blessings of the Lord. Little effort, greater result. There shall be no waste but profit in all we do, in Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
Faith shouldn’t remain stable; it should keep growing daily, not reducing, because every confrontation comes at a different level. Yesterday’s challenges are different from those of today and tomorrow. Faith is the courage to walk with the Lord in the face of different levels of confrontation. That you overcame a challenge with one level of faith doesn’t mean you’ll need the same level to overcome other challenges. We need to grow in faith daily. Each day is full of evil, Ephesians 5:16. Likewise, every evil has a level of faith required to overcome it.
The disciples kept seeing what Jesus was doing daily—the way He handled all situations that came across His way. They had faith, but they felt it had stagnated. In confusion they asked Jesus, “Increase our faith.” Despite living and walking with Jesus, they still needed to ask Him how to increase their faith. And Jesus responded by saying:
It grows by making use of the small faith you have.
Keep speaking to situations. Increase your faith by professing it against every situation that comes. Declare what you desire and believe.
According to Matthew, the disciples asked Jesus why they couldn’t heal a lunatic child brought to them, Matthew 17:20, He said,
“And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief.”
You must never doubt what you say.
Faith decreases or remains stagnant when we doubt what we declare. When we focus on the impossibility of what we had faith for, our faith remain stagnant or reduces. Unbelief kills faith and stops its growth. We increase our faith by believing what we profess, even when it didn’t work—we keep believing it will work.
Matthew 17:21
“Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.”
Jesus made the next point on growing our faith: a life of prayer and fasting.
Jesus was speaking of consistency with the Spirit of God—having much time to pray with fasting. We can’t live like others and expect a different result. There should be a difference in the way we live our lives. Praying in the Holy Ghost and waiting on the Lord will develop our faith in God.
To increase our faith in the world today, we need to keep speaking our faith, believe our declarations, and live a life of prayer and fasting to surrender ourselves to God. Let’s continue tomorrow as we dig further on how to increase our faith.
God Bless you and Good Morning.
