TOPIC: Faith On The Road: Your Distraction Is Someone's Miracle (4)
One Year Bible Reading:
Ezra 1 - 3
Acts 8:41 - 40
MEMORY VERSE:
Hebrews 11:1.
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
BIBLE READING:
Luke 8:43-48
“And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, which had spent all her living upon physicians, neither could be healed of any,
Came behind him, and touched the border of his garment: and immediately her issue of blood stanched.
And Jesus said, Who touched me? When all denied, Peter and they that were with him said, Master, the multitude throng thee and press thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?”
“And Jesus said, Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me.”
“And when the woman saw that she was not hid, she came trembling, and falling down before him, she declared unto him before all the people for what cause she had touched him and how she was healed immediately.”
‘And he said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace.”
Thinking Point:
What Works Against You Is Working For Someone Else. Don’t Be Sad.
Happy Father’s Day to all fathers in the world. May we not fail in our responsibility as father, priest, teacher, head, example and cover in Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
Our lesson today may seem negative, but that’s the truth. Life is two-sided. When things work for you, someone is sad because it worked against them. And when things don’t work in your favour, it’s working for someone else. But this is the truth: “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God” - Romans 8:28 KJV.
That stop, delay, disappointment, rejection and neglect is working in your favour. Hallelujah. I’m not saying be sad because things are going well for others. No. I’m talking about missed promotion, lost opportunities when you’ve done your best. Someone taking a place that rightly belongs to you. Listen to me: God has a better place for you, a better plan you never dreamed of. Don’t be sad when it seems you lost. Keep an open mind and congratulate them. Yours is on the way.
Jairus wasn’t sad nor angry with the woman with the issue of blood claiming the miracle he was going home with. Yesterday we said someone else’s miracle doesn’t cancel yours. Yes, but this is the secret: Have a positive mind that it’s working in your favour. Have a mindset that it’s their time and your time will come.
You must know that promotion is coming because God has a better plan for you. Have you noticed that whenever you struggle to get things done or achieve a feat it doesn’t come out fine, but you will always get something better at the end? Just think it through. Jairus came to Jesus to heal his daughter, but Jesus ended up raising her from the dead. Which testimony is greater? Raising the dead. That’s what God has for us. What will glorify His name in our lives is His plan for us.
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” Jeremiah 29:11 KJV.
Stop envying those who won against you. Yours is coming out better, greater and very loud. Be joyful and congratulate those who are celebrating, because they will celebrate you too soon.
God Bless you and Good Morning.
