TOPIC: Faith On The Road: Healing Without Permission (5)

One Year Bible Reading:
Ezra 4 - 6
Acts 10 :1 - 23

MEMORY VERSE:
Hebrews 11:1.
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”

BIBLE READING:
Luke 8:43-48
“And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, which had spent all her living upon physicians, neither could be healed of any,
Came behind him, and touched the border of his garment: and immediately her issue of blood stanched.
And Jesus said, Who touched me? When all denied, Peter and they that were with him said, Master, the multitude throng thee and press thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?”
“And Jesus said, Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me.”
“And when the woman saw that she was not hid, she came trembling, and falling down before him, she declared unto him before all the people for what cause she had touched him and how she was healed immediately.”
‘And he said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace.”

Thinking Point:
Obtaining your desire from God needs no process but faith and action.

It’s a new week and a new day with the hands of God resting upon our lives for greater exploits in Jesus’ name. This week we will get it right better than other weeks in Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.

Faith On The Road is about the acts and wonders of Jesus while moving from one location to another. The acts and Miracle of God are not static and can be access through diverse means by faith.

Today we are studying the faith dimension of the woman with the issue of blood who accessed her miracle without permission from Jesus. Jairus invited Jesus with faith to come heal his daughter. He made a request and Jesus followed him. But the woman with the issue of blood never made a demand nor request but acted with a different kind of faith. The Gospel of Matthew recorded it this way:

_“And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment:
FOR SHE SAID WITHIN HERSELF, IF I MAY BUT TOUCH HIS GARMENT, I SHALL BE WHOLE.”_ Matthew 9:20-21 KJV.

And truly she received an instant miracle — the blood and odour ceased even before Jesus made her whole. Our faith can get us what we desire without disturbing Jesus. Jesus felt the release of power from Him and asked, “Who touched me?” He wasn’t speaking of physical touch but a touch of faith that draws healing from Him. A touch that took healing without permission. It all depends on our level of faith.

In Acts 5:14-15, believers acted without Apostle Peter’s permission to receive their healings by bringing their sick to be healed by Peter’s shadow. That’s a level of faith. They acted in faith: if Peter’s hand can heal, his shadow will do the same. Most times we only need to act in faith — not really by speaking or asking, but with action built out of faith. Jesus only made the woman whole after she took her healing by faith without His permission. Our level of faith determines what we can access in God.

Which area do you need to act in a different level of faith? Apply faith without permission like the woman with the issue of blood.

God bless you and good morning.
