TOPIC: THE HOLY SPIRIT: The Anointing (16)

“For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.”
BIBLE READING:
Luke 4:17-19
“And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written,
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.”
Thinking Point:
The Anointing is evidence of the Holy Spirit upon a believer.
This week will end well for you. We will have a better ending. We will have proof of the leading of the Holy Spirit in our lives. The grace to complete the race ahead is released in Jesus' mighty name, Amen.
The Holy Spirit, the deposit in a believer, is the architect of our destiny. We are made to know that a new language is one of the proofs of the Holy Spirit.
Today, another proof of the Holy Spirit is The Anointing. The Holy Spirit is the source of the Anointing in a believer. The Apostles could do nothing until the release of the Holy Spirit. They couldn't preach boldly, they were hiding. Until the release of the Holy Spirit they were not anointed to preach.
Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, couldn't begin His ministry until He was anointed by the Holy Spirit. Without the Anointing of the Holy Spirit, one can't get things right. Purpose will never be discovered nor fulfilled. After His return from the wilderness, Jesus declared,
_“THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD IS UPON ME, BECAUSE HE HATH ANOINTED ME TO PREACH THE GOSPEL TO THE POOR; HE HATH SENT ME TO HEAL THE BROKENHEARTED, TO PREACH DELIVERANCE TO THE CAPTIVES, AND RECOVERING OF SIGHT TO THE BLIND, TO SET AT LIBERTY THEM THAT ARE BRUISED,
TO PREACH THE ACCEPTABLE YEAR OF THE LORD.”_ Luke 4:18-19.
If the Anointing of the Holy Spirit is lacking, purpose will never be revealed. Today, the Anointing of the Holy Spirit will rest upon us all in Jesus' mighty name, Amen.
The Anointing of the Holy Spirit is the source of good works for a believer. The evidence of the Anointing is you doing good works: healing, helping, and casting out the devil — all by the Anointing of the Holy Spirit.
Acts 10:38, says of Jesus,
_“HOW GOD ANOINTED JESUS OF NAZARETH WITH THE HOLY GHOST AND WITH POWER: WHO WENT ABOUT DOING GOOD, AND HEALING ALL THAT WERE OPPRESSED OF THE DEVIL; FOR GOD WAS WITH HIM.”_
The Anointing to do good and heal is released because the anointing is a carrier of God Himself. It is not easy to do good, but the Anointing makes it easier to be sacrificial with what you have. It is the reason for compassion. Yes, the lack of the anointing makes you see pain as a normal thing. When the Anointing is upon you, all that troubles you is how to end pain in others. The anointing is evidence of the Holy Spirit in a believer.
Father, we receive the anointing of the Holy Spirit to define purpose and do good in life in Jesus' mighty name, Amen.
