Thinking Point:
The Holy Spirit manifests Himself through the Fruit of the Spirit in a believer.

We will enjoy the help of the Holy Spirit. His fruit will take over our lives and influence others in Jesus’ mighty name. Happy Weekend to you all.

The evidence of the Holy Spirit in the life of a believer are His new language, *the Anointing*, and today we move to *the Fruit of the Holy Spirit*.

Every tree is identified by its fruits. Fruit differentiates trees, for the fruit is the outcome of a tree. It represents what a tree stands for.
Jesus said in Matthew 7:20 KJV,
_“Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.”_

Likewise, every spirit has a fruit that announces the tree, and where they belong. The Holy Spirit has a fruit that emanates in the lives of the carrier. Fruit doesn't show immediately when the tree is planted or when the tree starts growing. It’s a result of many months or years, as the period may be.

Likewise, the fruit of the Spirit is not what shows up immediately when you receive the Holy Spirit. It’s a gradual process which begins from within. It is cultivated by the believer. The more you study and listen to God’s word, the more the fruit begins to grow inwardly.

When you follow the lead of the Holy Spirit, the fruit begins to take root and manifest. What is this fruit of the Spirit? In one of our teachings we’ve mentioned it, and it is as follows:
_“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.”_ *Galatians 5:22-23 KJV*

The Holy Spirit teaches us to grow in love, to live in joy, and experience peace of mind in the face of storms. Longsuffering is the spirit that endures opposition, that keeps moving when the road looks tough. Gentleness: being relaxed in relating with others. Goodness: we discussed this yesterday, that the Holy Spirit enables us to do good. You always find yourself doing good things. Faith: the Holy Spirit helps you to grow in faith according to the word of God we are consuming. Meekness talks of humility — being humble no matter your achievement and accomplishments. Temperance talks of self-control in handling all things.

These can only become real in a believer's life by the help of the Holy Spirit. This becomes evidence when the Holy Spirit is in us. This is the fruit of the Holy Spirit. Remember, this can't happen in a day, months, or a year in the life of a believer. It’s a process that needs to be followed — a process that needs the yielding of one’s body. Many may have the Holy Spirit and not grow the fruit because of our obedience and relationship with the Holy Spirit. Willingness to yield to His leading is what grows the fruit.

The Holy Spirit will manifest in our lives in Jesus' name. May we be able to yield ourselves to Him totally in Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
