Oluboye Emmanuel Ministry© Mobile Daily Devotional Week 35, Day 4, Wednesday, 26th August 2026 TOPIC: VISION AND PROVISION (11): Provision Time Frame: Lasting Term

TOPIC: VISION AND PROVISION (11): Provision Time Frame: Lasting Term

One Year Bible Reading:
Psalm 139- 141
1 Corinthians 10: 14 - 11: 1

MEMORY VERSE:
Habakkuk 2:2.
“And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.”

BIBLE READING:
2 Kings 2:10.
"10. And he said, Thou hast asked a hard thing: nevertheless, IF THOU SEE ME WHEN I AM TAKEN FROM THEE, IT SHALL BE SO UNTO THEE; BUT IF NOT, IT SHALL NOT BE SO."

Thinking Point:
Lasting Provision: They Remain When Others Depart.

Today, I decree and declare: What the Lord has said concerning us will begin to manifest. His Word begins to find fulfillment in our lives and family. No more delay, in Jesus’ Mighty Name, Amen.

God has made us to see two types of provisions: Short Term and Long Term Provisions. Both are very important in the life of a visionary.

The third Provision is the “Lasting Provision” which remains when others depart. They are the runners of vision after the visionary.
This category of provision is enjoyed for life — “till death do us part.” In this category we have three types. The first is:

God - Your Strength Giver And Source.
The greatest lasting provision is God Himself. He is the one who sent you on the errand.

“And He said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.” — Exodus 33:14

God leads the way always, even when others leave. He keeps guiding and instructing on what to do. Jesus also told the disciples:
“And, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” — Matthew 28:20

Without God all other provision are useless.

The second lasting provision is your Spouse. This is the best lasting provision on earth. God will always lead you to a partner who is a lasting provision for your vision. One who will stand by you physically in every situation.

“And Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lapidoth, she judged Israel at that time.” — Judges 4:4.

Lapidoth, Deborah's husband supported her and in her ministry without any issues.

“Two are better than one... for if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow” — Ecclesiastes 4:9-10

God gives you a spouse who understands the calling of God upon your life and is ready to go with you. When you miss God’s provision in marriage, it becomes difficult to succeed in God’s work.

A Faithful Servant - The Legacy Carrier
The third lasting provision is a faithful servant who goes with you till the end.
Servants like Elisha who carried on Elijah’s mantle, Joshua and Caleb who carried Moses’ vision, Peter the Apostle, and Timothy who carried on with Paul’s vision after his departure. — 2 Kings 2:9, Exodus 24:13, 2 Timothy 4:2

These provisions are not chosen by you. God directs and guides you until you locate them for the success of His vision.

For every vision to sustain after the visionary, you need at least two of these lasting provisions: God and any of the other two.
And if you are blessed to have all three, there is no reason why you should fail. “A threefold cord is not quickly broken.” Ecclesiastes 4:12

Do you have these most important provisions around you?
Please never lose any of them. And if you do, never lose God — the greatest provision for your Vision.

God bless you and Good Morning.
