TOPIC: VISION AND PROVISION (12): Provision Time Frame: Ministry Attracted Provision

One Year Bible Reading:
Psalm 142- 145
1 Corinthians 11:2 - 34

MEMORY VERSE:
Habakkuk 2:2.
“And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.”

BIBLE READING:
Luke 8:1-3.
"And it came to pass afterward, that he went throughout every city and village, preaching and shewing the glad tidings of the kingdom of God: and the twelve were with him,
And certain women, which had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities, Mary called Magdalene, out of whom went seven devils,
And Joanna the wife of Chuza Herod's steward, and Susanna, and many others, which ministered unto him of their substance.”

Thinking Point:
Ministry-attached Provision Are The Reward Of Your Sacrifices To Others.

Today, God will touch others to help us. He will bless and favor us with our immediate needs. He will raise men to solve our problems, in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Yesterday we studied “Lasting Provision” God, Our Spouse, and Faithful Servants/Followers. And we concluded that at least two of these are important for the continuation of our vision.

Today's focus is Ministry-attached. They are the reward of our sacrifice to others. This is the provision that comes from those who benefited from our ministry, work, business, and family. Those you’ve touched and affected positively with your uniqueness and the grace upon your life.

When those who have been blessed through your resources or life provide for your immediate needs or ministry, they are called Ministry-attached provision.

It can be short term, long term, or lasting provision. The duration is determined by God. This is often the fastest way to earn recognition through their testimony and publicity. Matthew 5:16

It is as a result of influence. It comes via our commitment to our work and our positive impact on lives.

Elisha enjoyed this provision through Man from Baal-shalisha
“And there came a man from Baalshalisha, and brought the man of God bread of the firstfruits, twenty loaves of barley, and full ears of corn in the husk thereof. And he said, Give unto the people, that they may eat.” — 2 Kings 4:42

These were people who had enjoyed Elisha’s ministry, remembering him and sowing back into his life. God uses them as provision for your vision. Most times they also become motivators, encouragers, and supporters.

Jesus had these provision through Women of Substance
“...and many other women who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities: Mary, called Magdalene... Joanna... Susanna, and many others, who provided for Him from their means.” — Luke 8:2-3.

Jesus’ ministry was financed by this provision — those He ministered to. Even those in authority were among them and ministered to Jesus’ ministry with their substance.

These provisions are released at will by them for the accomplishment of our vision.

How To Handle Ministry-attached provision:
Utilize and Appreciate it: Whatever level of provision you are enjoying, steward it well. “He who is faithful in little is faithful in much” — Luke 16:10.
Never Misuse or Suppress them. Your attitude can send them away and they may never return.
Remember You Don’t Own Them: They are directed by God and can be moved by God to someone else.
Don’t Fight or Curse Them for Leaving: If they leave, don’t despise them. It may be a sign that God is bringing or raising someone else because their time with you has expired.

Which level of provision are you enjoying presently? Our work will enjoy these sets of provision, in Jesus’ Mighty Name, Amen.

God bless you and Good Morning.
