John 3:3-5.
“Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?
Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.”
Thinking Point:
New Birth is the front door to accessing Christ’s covenants with believers.
It is another wonderful week, and the glory of God is going ahead of us. His presence radiates over all that concerns us this week and beyond, in Jesus’ Mighty Name, Amen.
Welcome to a new week.
Before I proceed, let me say this: Mobile Daily Devotional is a vision from God and requires human and financial provision. This week we will talk about the various levels a believer goes through to become who God wants them to be. For the next six days, I will be revealing each level. I believe by the end of this series, God will reveal our positions to us and we will know ourselves better.
Just as a baby grows physically, every believer must grow spiritually. God’s plan is not stagnation. He wants us to move from: Birth to Sitting to Crawling to Walking to Running then, Soaring, God also wants us to grow in that level then soul winning.
New Birth - The Milk Level
This is the point of salvation. You have just received Christ. You are born anew.
“As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby” — 1 Peter 2:2
At this level you can only milk, soft food, not solid food. You need the foundation of God’s Word — the basics: Love of God, forgiveness, prayer, assurance of salvation.
You need a life of transformation: This is the “uninstall and reinstall” stage. God changes the old life for the new life in Christ. “Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation” — 2 Corinthians 5:17.
You need to be in a place where you will be cared for and covered: You are tender. You need fellowship, discipleship, and brethren who are mature in Christ. You need to study scripture to learn how to hear God’s voice.
At this level all that's important is to survive, be established, and develop hunger for the Word. If care is not taken, many fall back into their old lives and old friends because no one was there to help them.
How do you treat new converts? Do you see them by their past lives, or as a new creation?
Let’s care for the new birth in Christ by encouraging them, covering them, and teaching them.
May God help us to grow, and help others grow too, in Jesus’ Mighty Name, Amen.
