Oluboye Emmanuel Ministry© Mobile Daily Devotional Week 35, Day 6, Friday, 28th August 2026 TOPIC: VISION AND PROVISION (13): Provision In Disguise

TOPIC: VISION AND PROVISION (13): Provision In Disguise

One Year Bible Reading:
Psalm 146 - 150
1 Corinthians 12

MEMORY VERSE:
Habakkuk 2:2.
“And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.”

BIBLE READING:
1 Kings 17:8-9.
"And the word of the LORD came unto him, saying,
Arise, get thee to Zarephath, which belongeth to Zidon, and dwell there: behold, I have commanded a widow woman there to sustain thee."

Thinking Point:
God’s provision is often in disguise. We need to be sensitive to recognize and utilize them.

Today, being the last working day of this week, shall yield good results, good reports, and good testimonies. Our desires shall become reality, in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

God is a visionary. He has every provision for His vision. He recognizes when each provision should be replaced and when they are to be retained. Likewise, He created us the same way, giving us vision, making provision available, and giving us wisdom to know when provisions are done with their responsibility in our lives.

But the fact is that we don’t recognize our provisions because they come in disguise.

Our greatest provision is Jesus Christ, but the Jews didn’t recognize Him.
“He came to His own, and His own received Him not.” — John 1:11
They crucified Him gladly, not knowing they were fulfilling God’s mandate.
Till today, many don’t recognize Him as Lord and Saviour. They are suffering, not because He’s not there, but He came in disguise as human — “having no form or majesty that we should look at Him” — Isaiah 53:2

All we need to know about every provision of God for His vision is this: Provision often looks nothing like our expectation. They don’t look like what we expected. They may be stubborn, look dejected, look below our expectations, fragile instead of rugged — but they are God’s provision for vision.

Take for example,
Elisha was a mechanized farmer when Elijah found him. — 1 Kings 19:19
The Disciples were Professional fishermen who became the rock and backbone of the gospel. — Matthew 4:18-20
Paul was an antagonist of the gospel before becoming an Apostle. — Acts 9:1, 15
The Ravens, a small bird fed Elijah with bread and flesh at the brook Cherith for days. — 1 Kings 17:6
The Widow of Zarephath who was in need, yet God used her to feed Elijah. — 1 Kings 17:12-16
The Slave Girl in Naaman's home was a provision in disguise for his healing. — 2 Kings 5:2-3

God makes our provision look like “nothing” compared to our expectations.

So, in the course of carrying out our vision, we need to be sensitive to identify our provision — in person, substance, and kind. This will help us utilize our provision on a timely basis.

The blind, the crippled, the homeless, the divorced, or the orphan can be God’s provision for us if we don’t write people off. “God has chosen the foolish things... and the weak things... and the despised” — 1 Corinthians 1:27-28

HOW TO HANDLE THEM:
Appreciate and Celebrate everyone who makes your work easier.
Utilize those who are willing to assist in one area or the other.
Delegate and give room for improvement.
Trust and Encourage them.
Above all, Respect everyone no matter their status. By doing so, you are welcoming your disguised provision.

This is my prayer today, may we not miss God’s provision made available for the fulfillment of our vision in life, in Jesus’ Mighty Name, Amen

God bless you and Good Morning.
