Oluboye Emmanuel Ministry© Mobile Daily Devotional Week 39, Day 2, Monday, 21st September 2026 TOPIC: THE WORD OF GOD: (2) The Law Of The Lord

TOPIC: THE WORD OF GOD: (2) The Law Of The Lord

One Year Bible Reading:
Isaiah 6 - 8
Galatians 5:16 - 26

MEMORY VERSE:
John 1:1.
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”

BIBLE READING:
Psalm 19:7 KJV
"The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple."

Thinking Point:
The Word of God does not condemn you to destroy you; it corrects you to restore you.

God word will refreshing you, renew you and bring out the b at fo you this new day in Jesus mighty name, Amen

Today, we shall be digging into The 6-Fold Word Of God From Psalm 19. David, a man after God's own heart, gave us six names for the Word of God in Psalm 19:7-9. Each name reveals a dimension of what the Word does.

The first name David gives to God's Word is “The Law”. The Hebrew word is Torah, which means instruction, direction, teaching.

This is not law to condemn us, but law to guide us. It is God's perfect instruction manual for human life. Every product comes with a manual from its manufacturer. You are God's product, and the Bible is your manual. If you ignore the manual, you will malfunction.

Why does David call it "perfect"? Because nothing needs to be added to it and nothing should be taken from it. It lacks nothing. Deuteronomy 4:2 says we should not add nor diminish from it. In a world full of conflicting voices, opinions, philosophies, social media advice, and human traditions, the Law of the Lord stands complete. It is settled in heaven, Psalm 119:89. It is perfect in content, perfect in timing, and perfect in result.

And what does it do? It converts the soul.
The word "convert" in Hebrew is , which means to turn back, to restore, to bring back to original design, to cause a U-turn.

When your soul is weary, confused, anxious, tired, or has drifted from God, the Word pulls you back to center. It reminds you who you are, where you are, and where you are going. When David's soul was cast down, he spoke to his soul, Psalm 42:5. How? Through the Law.

The Law exposes where we have missed it, but it also restores us. Just like a mirror shows you dirt on your face so you can wash it, James 1:23-25, the Law shows you areas of misalignment so God can wash you and make you new. It does not leave you condemned; it leads you to conversion.

A car that has lost alignment needs to return to the workshop. Your soul needs to return to the Word daily.

David said,
"The law of thy mouth is better unto me than thousands of gold and silver" Psalm 119:72

When you feel empty, dry, or far from God, don't look for a new experience first. Go back to the Law, The Bible. Read it. Meditate on it. Let it convert you.

Today, take 15 minutes and read Psalm 19 and Psalm 119:1-16 slowly. As you read, ask: "Lord, where have I drifted? Convert my soul."

The Word will restore your appetite for God.

Prayer:
Father, thank You for Your perfect Law. Today, let Your Word convert my soul. Turn me from every distraction back to You. Wash me, restore me, and set my heart right again. I receive grace to delight in Your Law in Jesus' Mighty Name, Amen.

God bless you and Good Morning.
