TOPIC: CAN GOD TRUST YOU? (10) With Your Marriage (Wife)?

One Year Bible Reading:
Ecclesiastes 9 - 12
Galatians 1: 1 - 24

MEMORY VERSE:
Luke 10:16
"He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much."

BIBLE READING:
Hebrews 13:4
Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled.

Thinking Point:
As a woman, you are trusted to build that marriage as a helper, not as a leader.

The wisdom of God that puts one above is at work in us today. She is speaking for us, directing our path and showing us the way to fulfillment in Jesus' Mighty Name, Amen.

“Can God Trust You In Your Marriage?” still remains our focus. Yesterday our question was directed to the men of the house – the Husband, Father, and Leader. It was made known that God first introduced marriage in Eden and called it “very good.” Genesis 1:31

Today, I am speaking to wives. God intentionally created the man first before the woman. The woman was introduced to Adam, and when Adam saw her, he called her woman, for she was taken out of man. Genesis 2:23

Why did God create a woman?
1. For Companionship
“..., but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him.” Genesis 2:20.
Adam had no companion, no friend he could confide in. So God created a man with a womb, and Adam called her Womb-Man. You were created to be a friend, a confidant, a companion who brings comfort and peace.

2. As a Helper
_“...but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him.” Genesis 2:20
Eve was created to make life easier. A helper is someone who sees ahead and directs. The Holy Spirit is our Helper. He sees the danger ahead and reveals it to you. That is who a woman is created to be, one who leads from behind, who covers in prayer, who warns and guides with wisdom.

It was unfortunate that Eve could not fulfill this assignment before the fall of man. Till today, many women remain in the position of Eve, and God cannot trust them with their marriages.

3. For Reproduction
God could have created two men, but He gave the woman a womb to carry children. “Be fruitful and multiply.” Genesis 1:28.
The womb was not created for abortion. It was created to carry children according to what you can be responsible for, not going around carrying children you cannot train or provide for. Without a woman, there would have been no generation. You are blessed to extend generations.

4. A Builder
A woman was created to build the home.
Proverbs 14:1.
You are to build peace, unity, rest of mind, and protect your husband first before the children, not children before husband. Before children existed, it was the husband first.

Submission is the tool to achieve all these goals. Ephesians 5:22-24 calls you to submit as unto the Lord. Submission is not weakness or slavery. It is strength under God’s control. You are an observer from behind who ensures that wrong steps are not taken. You are the helper God gave to complete, not to compete.

If you hold onto the wrong principle of “Your money is our money, but my money is my money,” you have failed as a wife already. If you cannot achieve these 4 points with your resources and your husband’s resources, you cannot be entrusted with riches and wealth from God.

Are you building or breaking your home with your words and actions?
Can God trust you to be a true helper?

PRAYER:
Father, give me grace to honor my marriage covenant. Teach me to love like Christ, to fulfill my assignment in my marriage, and help me to be submissive to build my home in Jesus' Mighty Name, Amen.

God bless you and Good Morning.
