Thinking Point:
Disappointment and Delay are tools of test in the Lord's Hand.
This new week, the Lord will turn your waiting into testimony, your disappointment into divine appointment, every delay will be rewarded with speed in Jesus' Mighty Name, Amen.
I welcome you to the second week on this topic “CAN GOD TRUST YOU?” It has been a beautiful series and the Lord still has a week on this study. Today we are looking at “Can God Trust You With Disappointment and Waiting?”
One of the greatest tests of trust is delay. God often trusts people not in the rush, but in the wait. Many are faithful when things are working, but God is searching for those who will still trust Him when nothing seems to be working, Habakkuk 3:17-18
Abraham waited 25 years for the promise of Isaac,Genesis 21:5. Joseph waited 13 years in the pit, in Potiphar’s house, and in prison before the palace. Genesis 37, 39, 41. David was anointed as king but waited years running from Saul before he sat on the throne, 1 Samuel 16:13, 2 Samuel 2:4. These years wasn't a wasted years, they qereyearsof test and making. Years of proofing to God that they will wait on Him and they did waited and earn the reward.
God watched them in the waiting season. He was checking: Will they complain? Will they compromise? Will they still serve?, The same goes to you and I, He is watching if we will complain, compromise or keep serving.
Get tis straight today, Disappointment is not rejection. Sometimes it’s God’s protection and preparation. When God delays you, He is developing you. When God says “wait,” He is saying “I trust you enough to prepare you for what I’m about to give you.”
What God checks during waiting:
1. Our Attitude: Will you murmur or will you worship? Philippians 2:14.
2. Our Character: Will you cut corners or will you remain faithful? Galatians 6:9.
3. Our Dependence: Will you run to men or will you run to God? Psalm 27:14. “Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and He shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.”
God cannot entrust big treasures to impatient hearts. Impatience heart births Ishmaels, Genesis 16 a patient heart births Isaac Genesis 18.
But those who wait upon the Lord renew their strength. Isaiah 40:31.
Can God trust you when the answer is delayed? Can He trust you when people around you are getting what you prayed for? Will you still serve, still sow, still believe while you wait?
The same God who promised is faithful to perform, Numbers 23:19.
PRAYER:
Father, give me grace to wait on You without wavering. In this season of waiting, keep my heart, keep my faith, and let me not miss what You are doing. Help me to trust You till my change comes in Jesus' Mighty Name, Amen.
God bless you and Good Morning.
