TOPIC: CAN GOD TRUST YOU? (14) With SECRETS?

One Year Bible Reading:
Isaiah 1 - 2
Galatians 3: 26 - 4: 1- 20

MEMORY VERSE:
Luke 16:10
"He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much."

BIBLE READING:
Psalm 25:14.
“The secret of the Lord is with them that fear Him; and He will show them His covenant.”

Thinking Point:
The highest level of trust is having access to the secrets of God.

The Lord shall reveal His mind to us, make Himself known through us, and make us a solution to the issues of life — both spiritual and physical — in the Name of Jesus, Amen.

For two weeks we have been asking, Can We Be Trusted By God? It is good to know that God tests us daily, and our responses to those tests have brought us to where we are today.

Today, being the last day of this series, my last question is, "Can God Trust You With His Secret?"

Can we keep secrets revealed by God? Only those who fear Him and walk uprightly can be trusted with His secret. Every secret revealed by God is for personal consumption. Let me make this clear: there is a difference between the Instruction of God and the Secret of God. Instruction stands as an assignment to be carried out, a path to follow, what He wants you to achieve on His behalf. But the Secret of God is the way of God — they are personal information for our safety, what God is feeling about a situation. The secret of God is so special that He does not trust anyone with access to it until we are tested and trusted.

Father Abraham was called "the Friend of God" in James 2:23, because God could confide in him. God told Abraham about Sodom and Gomorrah because He trusted him.
"And the LORD said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do;" - Genesis 18:17.

What did Abraham do with the secret? He began to intercede on behalf of the city without God shutting him up. That is someone who can be trusted with the secret of God.

In 1 Kings 13, there is a story of the Young Prophet and the Senior Prophet.

1 Kings 13:9-10.
"For so was it charged me by the word of the LORD, saying, EAT NO BREAD, NOR DRINK WATER, NOR TURN AGAIN BY THE SAME WAY THAT THOU CAMEST.
So he went another way, and returned not by the way that he came to Bethel."

God gave the Young Prophet an assignment and a secret for his protection, but he could not differentiate the assignment from the secret. He revealed the secret for his protection, and it was used against him and he died in the same city. Why? He was not trustworthy with the secret of God.

Many of us are where we are today because we could not hold the secret of God for our safety. So God is searching for whom to trust with His secret — like Daniel, Moses, Joseph, Abraham. Every secret revealed to them was their lifting in life.

Can God tell you things and know you won't leak it? Can He give you a vision and trust you won't abort it with fear or pride? Can He reveal His plans to you in prayer and find you still standing on His Word?

Those God trusts with secrets are those who can keep His heart.

PRAYER:
Father, make me a confidant of heaven. Teach me to hear You and obey You in Jesus' Mighty Name, Amen.

God bless you and Good Morning.
