TOPIC: CAN GOD TRUST YOU? (13) With Influence?

One Year Bible Reading:
Songs Of Solomon 6 - 8
Galatians 3: 15 - 25

MEMORY VERSE:
Luke 16:10
"He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much."

BIBLE READING:
Daniel 6:3
“Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him.”

Thinking Point:
Influence is God putting your name in rooms you did not lobby for.

Today, the Lord is opening every locked door against us, touching the hearts of men on our behalf, and releasing strength to move across obstacles in Jesus' Mighty Name, Amen.

Our journey with the topic, "Can God Trust You?" has been impactful and enlightening. Our truthfulness to this series is what will bring impact in our lives. I pray we will be doers and not just readers alone in Jesus' Mighty Name, Amen.

This morning, our focus is, "Can God Trust You with Influence?"

Yes, no one becomes great without influence. Affluence is a product of influence. You can't be an influencer without acquiring affluence. What God sent us to do as believers is to influence others with good attitude, habit and behaviour. Impact is a product of influence. Our level of impact determines our level of influence. God can only take you far through your influence over others. When influence is lacking, struggles are inevitable.

When Jephthah was sent away from home, it was his influence that drew men to him.

"Then Jephthah fled from his brethren, and dwelt in the land of Tob: and there were gathered vain men to Jephthah, and went out with him." - Judges 11:3.

There was something he was saying and doing that drew men to him, that is influence. Many can't win a soul for God because they have never impacted people positively. No influence, nobody remembers you when you leave their presence.

Influence is saying or doing what changes people positively. If what you do or say does not change other people's lives positively, then you are not impactful, you are not an influencer.

Daniel had influence in Babylon because he refused to defile himself, Daniel 1:8. He reigned with kings because his influence could not be done away with. The scripture said of Daniel,

"Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him." - Daniel 6:3.

Influence to solve problems made him preferable to other presidents and princes, including princes of the reigning king.

God called us to influence others through His word.
Colossians 3:16 says,
"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord."

The word of God is what determines your influence on others. The word of God changes your mind and brings out words that influence lives.

Can God trust you with followers on social media? Can He trust you with a position at work, in school, in church? Will you use your voice to defend truth or to please men?

Can God trust your influence on others or will He stop others from meeting you? God promotes people He can trust not to misrepresent Him. Can you represent Him with your influence?

PRAYER:
Father, let my influence point people to You. Don't let me abuse the platform You give me in Jesus' Name, Amen.

God bless you and Good Morning.
