Oluboye Emmanuel Ministry© Mobile Daily Devotional Week 39, Day 7, Saturday, 26th September 2026 TOPIC: THE WORD OF GOD: (7) The Judgments Of The Lord

TOPIC: THE WORD OF GOD: (7) The Judgments Of The Lord

One Year Bible Reading:
Isaiah 19 - 22
Ephesians 3: 1 - 22

MEMORY VERSE:
John 1:1.
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”

BIBLE READING:
Psalm 19:9. KJV
"The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.”

Thinking Point:
You don't have to fight to be right; rest in the verdict of the Righteous Judge.

The arm of the Lord will perfect our victory over every battle, establish our position in all our endeavours in Jesus' wonderful name, Amen.

We have journeyed through the Law, the Testimony, the Statutes, the Commandment and the Fear that keeps clean.

Today we move to the sixth name which is Judgments. The Hebrew word for judgment is Mishpatim, which means rulings, verdicts, decisions, judicial pronouncements, divine court decisions.

This is God sitting as the Judge of all the earth, Genesis 18:25. When God issues a judgment, it is final. No appeal. No higher court.

And David gives us three powerful descriptions: they are TRUE, RIGHTEOUS, and ALTOGETHER.

1. They are TRUE: That means they are based on reality, not lies, not manipulation, not one-sided stories. Men may judge by appearance, 1 Samuel 16:7, but God judges by truth. He sees what we don't see, the motive behind the action and what was said behind closed doors. When men judged David as a forgotten shepherd boy, God's judgment said, "He is king." God's judgment is true because it is based on truth.

2. They are RIGHTEOUS: That means they are fair, just, without partiality, without sentiment. Human courts can be bribed and be compromised. Proverbs 17:23 says wicked men take bribes to pervert judgment. But God cannot be bribed. Deuteronomy 32:4. His judgment is never too harsh or too soft; it is exactly what is needed.

3. They are ALTOGETHER: This is the most powerful. Altogether means 100%. No flaw. No errors. No mixture. Not 99% true. Not partially righteous. Wholly, completely, perfectly true and righteous. You can stake your life on it.

When people fail you, when justice is perverted, when you are misunderstood, falsely accused, or cheated — you can rest. You don't have to defend yourself. You don't have to take revenge, Romans 12:19. You can commit your case to the Righteous Judge, 1 Peter 2:23.

This gives us peace. While Joseph was in prison for a sin he didn't commit, God's judgment was still true — Joseph is righteous. And in due time, God's judgment prevailed. The same God who vindicated Joseph will vindicate you.

Also, His judgments are correct. When we are wrong, His judgments are still true. And because He is a loving Father, He corrects us to restore us, Hebrews 12:6.

Bring that painful situation to God today. That case in your family, that betrayal, false accusation, business injustice and delay.

Don't carry it in anger. Take it to the court of heaven and say, "Lord, I trust Your judgment over this matter. You see what I cannot see. You know what I do not know. Judge between me and this matter."

Let His righteousness settle your heart. And if He shows you where you missed it, be humble enough to accept His correction — because His correction is also true and righteous altogether.

Prayer:
Righteous Judge, thank You for Your true and righteous judgments. Today, I commit every matter in my life to You — my family, my work, my reputation, my future. Where I have been wronged, vindicate me. Where I have been wrong, correct me. Let Your judgment prevail over every voice and every verdict of men, in Jesus' Mighty Name, Amen.

God bless you and Good Morning.
