Oluboye Emmanuel Ministry© Mobile Daily Devotional Week 39, Day 3, Tuesday, 22nd September 2026 TOPIC: THE WORD OF GOD: (3) The Testimony Of The Lord

TOPIC: THE WORD OF GOD: (3) The Testimony Of The Lord

One Year Bible Reading:
Isaiah 9 - 10
Galatians 6: 1 - 18

MEMORY VERSE:
John 1:1.
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”

BIBLE READING:
Psalm 19:7 KJV
"The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: THE TESTIMONY OF THE LORD IS SURE, MAKING WISE THE SIMPLE."

Thinking Point:
You don't need to be intelligent to be wise; you only need to believe what God has said.

Today, we are going out as conquerors, winning unseen and seen battles, defeating every Spiritual battles ahead of us in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Yesterday we saw the Word as Law - Torah: God's perfect instruction that converts the soul.

Today, David gives us the second name of the Word of God which is THE TESTIMONY. The Hebrew word is Eduth, which means witness, evidence, that which is confirmed, that which has been tested and proven.

God's Testimony is His witness about Himself. It is what He has said about who He is, what He has done, and what He will do. It is God's own sworn evidence in court. If a man testifies, you may doubt him. But when God testifies, heaven backs it.

And David says it is "sure" — firm, established, dependable, immovable, trustworthy, unfailing. Psalm 93:5 says, "Thy testimonies are very sure." You can build your life, your family, your business, and your future on it and it will not shake. Matthew 7:24-25.

Why is it sure? Because God cannot lie, Titus 1:2. Numbers 23:19, "God is not a man, that He should lie." His testimony is backed by His character. He watches over His Word to perform it, Jeremiah 1:12.

The beautiful part is what it does: it makes the simple wise. The word "simple" in Hebrew is pethi — it means open, naive, easily deceived, childlike. It does not mean foolish; it means inexperienced.

You don't have to be a theologian or Bible scholar. The simple person who believes God's testimony becomes wise. Why? Because wisdom is not just information. Wisdom is seeing life from God's perspective. And God's testimony gives us that perspective.

The world says, "You are what people say you are." God's testimony says, "You are fearfully and wonderfully made," Psalm 139:14.
The world says, "You will die of this sickness." God's testimony says, "With long life will I satisfy him," Psalm 91:16 and "By His stripes ye were healed," 1 Peter 2:24.
The world says, "There is no way." God's testimony says, "I will make a way in the wilderness," Isaiah 43:19.

In a world of fake news and shifting opinions, God's testimony does not change. Heaven and earth may pass away, but His Word will stand, Matthew 24:35.

Are you confused? Overwhelmed by decisions? At a crossroads? Don't go first to Google, to friends, or to feelings. Go to God's testimony. What has He said about that situation?

About provision? Philippians 4:19
About healing? Exodus 15:26
About direction? Proverbs 3:5-6
About identity? 1 Peter 2:9

When you anchor on His sure testimony, you will walk in wisdom that the world cannot explain. Counselors may fail you, but His testimonies will never fail. Make them your counselors today, Psalm 119:24.

Prayer:
Lord, thank You that Your testimony is sure, dependable, and unshakable. Make me wise through Your Word. Let me not be tossed to and fro by opinions and fear, but be grounded in what You have said. Help me believe Your witness above every other voice, in Jesus' Mighty Name, Amen.

God bless you and Good Morning.
