TOPIC: WEARINESS (14): Way Out Of Weariness
One Year Bible Reading:
Jeremiah 1 - 2
2 Thess. 2: 1 - 17
MEMORY VERSE:
Isaiah 40:31
“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”
BIBLE READING:
Isaiah 40:28-30
“Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.
He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.
Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:
Thinking Point:
Walking and working with God In surrenderness is the only solution to weariness.
The One who never faints nor grows weary is renewing our strength today, giving us a new beginning as we surrender to Him totally in Jesus' Mighty Name, Amen.
Weariness is the drain of spiritual strength, loss of focus, being distracted from God's plans and purpose for one's life. May I say this, it is not a crime to be weary but it is a crime to remain weary without finding a way out. Everyone is permitted to be weary because Jesus Himself became weary at the point of completing His mission. He saw the agony of death and felt God could change the ordained plan but prayed by saying,
Matthew 26:38-39,
"Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me.
And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt."
Jesus became weary but He recovered more than any other man through prayer. When He began to see the signs of weariness, He headed to the place of prayer. To overcome weariness, prayer is the first key. When the devil keeps you from praying, the seed of weariness is operating. Jesus never prayed just once, He went back the second time,
Matthew 26:42,
"He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done."
He repeated the same request to God. When we feel empty leading to weariness, that is when we should go down on our knees in prayer.
One of the fastest prayers we can pray is praying in tongues, speaking mysteries to God, letting the Holy Spirit take over from us according to Jude 1:20, which says,
"But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost."
It is the fastest way to build up our faith, to restore our strength.
Secondly, by studying the Word of God. Reading, studying and meditating on God's Word restores and increases our faith.
Psalm 107:20,
"He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions."
Romans 10:17,
"So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God."
The deeper we go in the Word of God, the faster we escape from weariness. Eating the Word rekindles our strength, lifts us up from weariness and helps us stay at the peak of spiritual things.
Praying for a renewer of strength and studying the Word of God daily brings you out of weariness and sets you above spiritual dryness all day.
Prayer:
Father, I need You like never before, to overcome every weariness in my soul, help me stay glued to Your Word and pray constantly in order to be above every strategy of weariness, in Jesus' Mighty Name I pray, Amen.
Good morning and God bless you.
