Oluboye Emmanuel Ministry© Mobile Daily Devotional Week 41, Day 1, Sunday, 4th October 2026 TOPIC: WEARINESS, A TOOL IN DEVIL'S HANDS (1): Weariness.

TOPIC: WEARINESS, A TOOL IN DEVIL'S HANDS (1): Weariness.

One Year Bible Reading:
Isaiah 38 - 39
Philippians 2: 19 - 3: 1- 11

MEMORY VERSE:
Isaiah 40:31
“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”

BIBLE READING:
Isaiah 5:27.
“None shall be weary nor stumble among them; none shall slumber nor sleep; neither shall the girdle of their loins be loosed, nor the latchet of their shoes be broken:”

Thinking Point:
Weariness is not just in the body; it is tiredness of the soul.

Today, every garment of weariness upon our life is torn off. We will run and not be weary, we will walk and not faint in Jesus' Mighty Name, Amen.

This week, we shall be discussing weariness — the source and the way out of weariness. Before we discuss the sources, we must understand what weariness is.

Weariness means to be exhausted, to faint, to be tired out completely. It is not ordinary tiredness. There is a difference between being tired in your body and being weary in your soul. A tired man needs a bed; a weary man needs God. Weariness is not an age bond because even the youth can be weary. Isaiah 40:30 says, "Even the youths shall faint and be weary."

Strength, age, and money cannot cure weariness. Weariness is a strategy in the hand of the devil to make you abandon purpose, assignment, and calling. Weariness is spiritual tiredness, inner dryness, dying zeal. When weariness sets into purpose, it is like an empty fuel tank in the wilderness.

I pray for someone today, that weariness against that purpose of your life is hereby replaced with the zeal of the Lord in Jesus' Mighty Name, Amen.

Why must we deal with weariness? Because weariness makes you vulnerable. A weary man can’t pray, fight, and make good decisions. He can't move ahead. Esau sold his birthright because of weariness. In Genesis 25:29-30, he said, "I am faint." Weariness made him despise his destiny.

Weariness wastes all your past effort if care is not taken. Remember, tiredness can be cured by sleep, medication, money, or relaxation, but weariness can only be cured by the Almighty, the Spirit of God. When you allow weariness, you hand over the baton of your destiny to the devil; that will not be our portion in Jesus' Name, Amen.

Some years back, I was so weary that I kept asking God, "Why am I doing this devotional and no one seems to recognize my effort for years?" I was so disturbed. "Do You really send me on this journey for more than 15 years and I'm still in this position?" Then His voice pulled me up by saying, "Continue doing what you are doing." Wow, I was so excited to finish up the edition I was working on. Listen, weariness does not know status, rank, level, or position, and it is only God that can rescue you from that situation. That is why the Bible says in Isaiah 40:29, "He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might He increaseth strength."

The mightless are the weary — He increases their strength. Weariness comes in several ways — in marriage, business, workplace, ministry, prayer life, and many other ways. Whichever way yours might be, God is renewing your strength today. He will strengthen your inner man in Jesus' Name, Amen.

Tomorrow, we shall be exposing the sources of weariness so that we can shut the door against it.

Prayer:
Father, every weariness in my soul, take it away today. Renew my strength like the eagle's. I receive divine energy to run my race in Jesus' Mighty Name, Amen.

God bless you and Good Morning.
