Image
TOPIC: NEW CREATION TOOL: Avoid Lies (3) One Year Bible Reading:  Psalms 23 - 25, Acts 27: 27 - 44. MEMORY VERSE: 2 Corinthians 5:17 17 This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun! BIBLE READING: Ephesians 4:25 "25. So stop telling lies. Let us tell our neighbors the truth, for we are all parts of the same body." Thinking Point: As small as every lie is, it has its consequences. Liars imitate the devil. I know the first question in your mind is, "is it possible not to lie? Can one do without telling lies?" Either we love to hear this or not, lying is a sin as long as God is not interested in it. Most times we think lies make us smarter not knowing we just implicated ourselves against the future. Yes, lies save you from immediate issues but stains your integrity. The secret not to lie is not to start telling lies because you will need another lie to cover the first lie which then becomes...

TOPIC: NEW CREATION TOOL: Holiness and Righteousness (2) One Year Bible Reading:  Psalms 21 - 22, Acts 27:1 - 26. MEMORY VERSE: 2 Corinthians 5:17 17 This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun! BIBLE READING: Ephesians 4:24 "24. Put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly righteous and holy." Thinking Point: Being a new creature is to live as Christ by living a truly righteous and holy life. Yesterday we focused on our thoughts being renewed, thinking rightly. Today, Apostle Paul is saying we live and act right as a new creature. Being a Christian we need to live as God lives, think and talk. Jesus became our role model on how to be like God. We are called into being like God. How can this be? Apostle Peter said, "15. But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;" 1 Peter 1:15. We need to be a new creature by being Holy as the one who ca...

TOPIC: NEW CREATION TOOL: Our Thought (1) One Year Bible Reading:  Psalms 19 - 20, Acts 26:19 - 32. MEMORY VERSE: 2 Corinthians 5:17 17 This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun! BIBLE READING: Ephesians 4:23 23 Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. (NLT) Thinking Point: The first difference between being a believer and an unbeliever is our thought. As believers, what makes the difference is what goes on in our heart spontaneously and consistency. How we act on what we think goes a long way to prove if we are believers or living as unbelievers. Apostle Paul was so interested in our thoughts to the extent of appealing to us in Romans 12: 2 say, "2. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." Let's get this straight, he wasn't speaking to the unb...

BIBLE READING: Psalms 121:1-8. "1. I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. 2. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth. 3. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. 4. Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. 5. The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand. 6. The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. 7. The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. 8. The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore." Thinking Point: To Be Still means remembering the promises of God to you. Happy weekend to everyone who has been following us this week, ma...

BIBLE READING: Isaiah 40:31. "31. But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." Thinking Point: Be Still means waiting on God. No one who waits on God ever regrets the decision. It's another Friday to the glory of God, awesome God has done us well, we ascribe all praises to Him in Jesus Name, Amen. What does 'Be Still' imply, waiting for God to respond through prayer and fasting. Being still is what we do when we don't know what else to do. It means relaxing your mind to know how God will do it. Prophet Habakkuk said in Habakkuk 2:1-2. "1. I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see...

Oluboye Emmanuel Ministry  Mobile Daily Devotional  Week 29, Day 5,  Thursday, 17th July, 2025  TOPIC: BE STILL: Give Him Praise (5) One Year Bible Reading:  Psalms 7 - 10, Acts 25: 1 - 12. MEMORY VERSE: John 14:1 "1. Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me." BIBLE READING: 2 Chronicles 20:17, 21. "17. Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the LORD with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; to morrow go out against them: for the LORD will be with you. ... 21. And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the LORD, and that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, Praise the LORD; for his mercy endureth for ever." Thinking Point: Be Still also means to give God thanks for what He will do. Grace is speaking for you in the midst of all opposition in Jesus' name, Amen. When the word...

TOPIC: BE STILL: He Is Fighting Our Battle (4) One Year Bible Reading:  Psalms 1 - 6, Acts 24: 1 - 47. MEMORY VERSE: John 14:1 "1. Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me." BIBLE READING: Exodus 14:13-14. "13. And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever. 14. The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace." Thinking Point: Be Still means God is fighting our battles without our input. One of the reasons why believers should be disturbed in life should be when our battle becomes tougher than the God we serve. When our challenges and situations become severe that none could survive, then we should be disturbed. But when our lives become stormy, stagnated, mockery and feel rejected, we can look up to God and say, 'Father, I handover to you, I am he...
