TOPIC: THE DECEIT OF THE DEVIL: Devil focus on Physical Not spiritual (4)

MEMORY VERSE: 
1 Peter 5:8.
"8. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:"

BIBLE READING:
Genesis 3:4-5.
"4. And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:"
"5. For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil."

Thinking Point:
One thing to know about the devil's deceit is that he's always physical and not spiritual in his tactics, be vigilant.

No matter how the devil paints disobedience, may the Lord open our spiritual eyes to see it as disobedience in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.

One of the ways to know when the devil is at work is that his ideas are based on physicality not spirituality. When an advice or thought that keeps coming into your heart is against God's instructions, you need to be vigilant to know the source of what you are hearing. Jesus Christ was vigilant to know the devil was around when he brought up issues about food after fasting, bowing down to him and to jump from a high mountain. Jesus knew this tactic, so He was able to resist and rebuked the devil and the angel attended to Him, Luke 4:1-11. When we are sensitive to discern the tactics of the devil, the angel will attend to us. The devil brings up physical and carnal suggestions to dilute the spiritual things of God.

The serpent diluted every spirituality in Eve's statement. "And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:" was God talking about physical death, no, but the devil was particular with physical death.
The serpent also said, "For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened," what God doesn't reveal to you is what He doesn't want you to know. He already gave them all they needed to be in charge of the garden and other things are not that important but the devil made that so important to Eve, painting God evil while he is the real devil and the lack of sensitivity of Eve made her see it the way of the devil, I pray for someone today, you will not fall into that deceit of the devil before you in Jesus name, the Lord will open your understanding to differentiate what God's will is, in that present situation of yours in Jesus name, Amen. The promises of God are not received or seen in the physical because the physical doesn't last compare to the spiritual. Every word of God is spirit and life but that of the devil is physical and contains death, we shall not be a victim of it in Jesus mighty name, Amen. 
Be sensitive when people bring you suggestions, when those thoughts creep into your heart, discern what the spiritual impact is rather than the physical impact, may the Lord keep guiding us daily in Jesus Mighty name, Amen.
