"8. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:"

Genesis 3:14, 16-17.
"4. And the LORD God said unto the serpent, ..."
"16. Unto the woman he said, ...."
"17. And unto Adam he said, ..."
Thinking Point:
When he leads and we follow there Is safety but when He leads and we turn away, there are repercussions.
May God's Mercy locate us and bring us back to God's purpose in Jesus' Mighty Name Amen.
From our study yesterday, we saw how the blame game played out in the garden of Eden. No one was ready to take responsibility for their action from Adam to Eve and then to the serpent, only the serpent couldn't push the blame to the devil because it couldn't fathom how he was controlled by such a spirit. Nevertheless, Blame game doesn't stop the repercussions of their actions. Their lack of accepting their fault doesn't exempt them from facing the punishment from God which was a life time punishment. Everytime we refuse to take responsibility, we inflict more punishment on ourselves. Do we remember the story of Cain how he killed his brother and He asked him of his whereabouts? He refused to take responsibility for his actions and God inflicted a serious punishment on him and his generation, Genesis 4. It is my prayer that we will not fall into an act that will attract a generational curse in Jesus' mighty name, Amen.
God put aside their excuses and declared a lasting punishment on them, starting from the serpent, to Eve and Adam. As believers, for every act of disobedience there is punishment from God, yes we are safe, we are the redeemed of God but going back to disobey God's word and instructions attract His wrath, it attracts His anger. As believers, we are the light not the darkness anymore, we are to show others how to walk with God not how to work away from God, so therefore, we need to watch our lives every moment that it pleases the Lord not pleasing the devil. I pray this morning for everyone reading today devotional, may the Mercy of God deliver us from every inflicted punishment in Jesus mighty name, Amen.
