Mobile Daily Devotional with Oluboye Emmanuel Week 4, Day 2, Monday, 20th January 2025 TOPIC: IN THE BEGINNING: SERIES 2: The Dust And It's Duty (19)
TOPIC: IN THE BEGINNING: SERIES 2: The Dust And It's Duty (19)
ONE YEAR BIBLE READING
Genesis 46 - 48
Matthew 13: 44 - 14: 1 - 12
MEMORY VERSE:
Gen. 1:1
"1. In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth."
BIBLE READING:
Gen. 2:15-17
"15 Then the LORD God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it."
Thinking Point:
God's breath in us is to creatively perform our duties in the garden he places us. Have you found your garden?
God doesn't create man to be lazy and idle. Everything He created has a purpose to fulfill. You have a duty to carry out with the breath of God in you. You are fashioned with His breath for your calling. Adam was created to tend and keep the garden. Where is your garden? What are you tending? Are you at your rightful garden?
Colo. 3:23-25
"23. And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, 24 knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ."
Have you discovered your duty post? Are you tending and caring for the garden? It's not too late to search out your duty and start keeping the garden. Fulfillment is attached to what we are called to do, not what we see others doing. Adam's assignment was in the garden of Eden, to tend and keep it, we are to tend and keep a certain garden, this garden does not ends in ministry work, it can be professional works like engineering, health sector, academician, some might even be in hospitality and many more, you need to identify the garden you're called to keep. Many tend and keep other person's garden, like Jacob until he asked Laban, in Genesis 30:30,
"30. For it was little which thou hadst before I came, and it is now increased unto a multitude; and the LORD hath blessed thee since my coming: AND NOW WHEN SHALL I PROVIDE FOR MINE OWN HOUSE ALSO?
He's been tending and keeping Laban's garden until the day he came to his senses and asked, "when shall I provide for my own house also" meaning when will I start tending my garden to take care of my family. Your responsibility is attached to your garden, locate your garden and your needs will be met.
Are you in your garden? Tend it well not as a lazy person but whom the Lord will pay back in due time. His breath in you, as a dust, should not be a waste.
May God give us the grace to locate our place of duty in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
