Mobile Daily Devotional with Oluboye Emmanuel Week 8, Day 6, Friday, 21st February, 2025 TOPIC: GOD OF DIVERSE WAYS: The God That Calls (6)

TOPIC: GOD OF DIVERSE WAYS: The God That Calls (6)

ONE YEAR BIBLE READING: Leviticus 19 - 20, Mark 5:1 - 20

MEMORY VERSE:
Isaiah 43:15-16
"15 I am the LORD, your Holy One, The Creator of Israel, your King."
16 Thus says the LORD, who makes a way in the sea And a path through the mighty waters."

BIBLE READING:
Romans 8:30
"30 Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified."

Thinking Point:
God call all Christians to win souls to Him but in different ways not by pastorship alone.

Diverse ways working God calls men into His service. He searches for who will serve in different capacities. He calls men in different ways. He called some into ministry assignments- Fivefold Ministry, some to the works of business. He called some to singing ministry, some into 'help' ministry, some to be field professional, Engineering, Accountant and many more. God doesn't call Christians for pulpit assignment only. Many are called by God to win souls through their gifts, kind acts, works and many more.

He called Abraham to leave his native land to foreign land, and all generations are traceable to Abraham but he wasn't called to be a pastor.

He called Moses to lead the Israelite out of Egypt and He was successful in His calling. The Exodus can't be complete without Moses' name.

Joshua was also called, He was chosen because of his commitment to Moses and he led the Children of Israel to the promised land.

Samson was called to be a warrior from the womb unlike any of the leaders mentioned earlier. He wasn't a pastor nor an Evangelist but He fulfilled the calling of God upon His life regardless of his fall.

David was also called by God through his service to his father and the use of his gift. He served his father faithfully by taking care of the sheep, then he took advantage of the time to build on his talent. These two qualities attracted him to God, thereby, he was called to be the king of Israel.

He called Jeremiah to be a prophet right from the womb. He called Elisha, a successful man in his business into prophetic ministry through Elijah.

Nehemiah received the call of God through his passion for the city of God. He was successful in his calling also.

Job was called to be wealthy, a man whose influence cut across the east. He was found righteous despite not being a Pastor or Reverend.

Every soul has the calling of God upon them. The calling may differ from one another. He calls us into the same ministry of winning souls but with different areas and specialties. Not being a pastor doesn't mean you are not called. Not preaching, going for morning cry, or standing by the pulpit is not proof that you are not called. God doesn't call audible like the past, He put a burden In our heart to long for like Nehemiah. He calls us through that gift that is special to us alone. God of diverse ways called everyone of us into different aspects of Christianity. Have you discovered yours? What are you called into? What is the assignment given to you? Locate it and start fulfilling your calling.

Good morning, and God bless you.
