TOPIC: TYPES OF GARMENT: Garment of Promotion (6) 

ONE YEAR BIBLE READING: 
Number 5 - 6, Mark 8: 27 - 9: 1 - 13

MEMORY VERSE: 
Isaiah 61:3. 
"To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified."

BIBLE READING:  
Genesis 41:14, 41-42.
"14. Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they brought him hastily out of the dungeon: and he shaved himself, and changed his raiment, and came in unto Pharaoh.
"41. And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, See, I have set thee over all the land of Egypt."
"42. And Pharaoh took off his ring from his hand, and put it upon Joseph's hand, and arrayed him in vestures of fine linen, and put a gold chain about his neck;'

Thinking Point:
A replacement of garment is the prayer of everyone. There are garments meant for promotion, change of levels, and honor. 

The garment of honor, like that of Mordecai, was a one-day celebration, whereas Joseph's garment represented a change of level. The garment of promotion comes with a change in position, moving from one level to another. It is a permanent garment, which often comes as a result of our contribution to humanity. We will be promoted in Jesus' name, Amen.

Solving problems, meeting others' needs, and adding value to lives brings the garment of promotion. When Daniel solved King Nebuchadnezzar's problem, his garment was changed, and he became a ruler over all the wise men and over the province of Babylon. Solving problems activates the garment of promotion.

Joseph similarly solved Pharaoh's problem by interpreting his dream. Before he began solving the king's problem, his garment and level were changed, (remember he already provided solution to someone problem in the prison) and now after solving Pharaoh's problem, his life was changed as a result of promotion. All his garments were changed, and he began to reign in Egypt.

We are next in line to be promoted. May the garment of promotion rest upon us from today on in Jesus' mighty name, Amen. What problem are you solving, and why should God give you the garment of promotion? You need to be known for something before you earn that garment.

Pray with me: Father, remember me, clothe me with the garment of promotion through my services in your kingdom, in my workplace, and in my family. Remember my sacrifices and lift me up in Jesus' mighty name, Amen.
