TOPIC: UNITY AND ITS INGREDIENTS: Submission (3)

One Year Bible Reading: 
Numbers 29 - 31, Mark 15: 53 - 72. 

MEMORY VERSE: 
Ps. 133:1-3
1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brethren to dwell together in unity! 
2 It is like the precious oil upon the head, Running down on the beard, The beard of Aaron, Running down on the edge of his garments.  
3 It is like the dew of Hermon, Descending upon the mountains of Zion; For there the LORD commanded the blessing - Life forevermore.

BIBLE READING:
Ephesians 5:20-21
"20 giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, 21 submitting to one another in the fear of God."

Thinking Point:
Submission isn't meant for the married alone but all ramification. Unity involves submission.

The Second ingredient of Unity is submission. Anywhere unity reigns therein you'll find submission and respect for one another. Most leaders always make this mistake believing they are to be submitted to and not to submit to any of their followers or team members. Submission should be ' give and take'. Submission doesn't mean belittling oneself but simply means being humble. When a team leader is humble, the followers will accord the right respect. The followers will be submissive and this will propel unity in the home, work place, ministry and everywhere. That you are the head of the house, departmental leader, church founder, the CEO or whatever position you are, being an authoritative person won't attract submission that creates unity, you will need to also submit to your followers because they all have something to contribute to the development of that department you are heading.

Apostle Paul while speaking to the Ephesians emphasized on submission, not just to the couple alone but to everyone who needed to walk in unity. Wherever you find submission, there will always be unity. To enjoy spirituality in the church of God, submission to one another is the secret. Unity works in submission from the top to the bottom and vice versa. Submission is the reason for agreement that begets Unity. 

How submissive are you in your marriage, family, work place, house of God and our environment?

May the Lord release on us the spirit that enhances total submission in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
