Mobile Daily Devotional with Oluboye Emmanuel Week 14, Day 2, Monday, 31st March, 2025 TOPIC: LESSONS FROM HANNAH'S LIFE: Document Your Vows. (9)

TOPIC: LESSONS FROM HANNAH'S LIFE: Document Your Vows. (9)

One Year Bible Reading:
Joshua 7 - 9, Luke 8: 40 - 56

MEMORY VERSE:
Heb. 13:8
"8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever."

BIBLE READING:
1 Sam. 1:10 -11
10 And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed to the LORD and wept in anguish. 11 Then she made a vow and said, “O LORD of hosts, if You will indeed look on the affliction of Your maidservant and remember me, and not forget Your maidservant, but will give Your maidservant a male child, then I will give him to the LORD all the days of his life, and no razor shall come upon his head.”

Thinking Point:
Nothing can be forgotten when it's documented. Documentation brings a refreshing memory.

Over two days now we have been discussing what it entails to Making Vows. We've talked about
(a) Be Specific About Your Vows.
(b) Be Personal About Your Vows, today, we will be focusing on Documenting Your Vows.

There's a saying that goes thus, "The faintest pen is sharper than the sharpest Brain". Whatever you document can't be forgotten. Many made vows and were willing to pay, but couldn't remember the specific or the vow itself. When you document your vows, it can't be forgotten so soon. If you later forget, one day you will storm at the document.

God doesn't joke with our vows, he told Jacob, in Gene. 31:13, to go back to the place he made a vow to Him. We may forget our vows but God won't forget it. So the best way to fulfill our vows is to document them when we make them because God will always finish his part and men will also need to fulfill their parts too, so, document your vows. For Moses not to forget the ten commandments God wrote it the first time with His hands and handed it over to Him. When it was broken by Moses another document was made aging through Moses, why? So that the Law will not be forgotten. When you document your vows it won't be forgotten.

Can you remember those vows you made? Do you still remember the part you need to pay? If the vows are yet to be completed, document them today and keep the document safe in order to remit you part of the bargain.

Good morning, and God bless you.
