TOPIC: LESSONS FROM HANNAH'S LIFE: Vow Yields Multiple (18)

"8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever."

BIBLE READING: 
1 Samuel 2:20-21.
"20. And Eli blessed Elkanah and his wife, and said, The LORD give thee seed of this woman for the loan which is lent to the LORD. And they went unto their own home."
"21. And the LORD visited Hannah, so that she conceived, and bare three sons and two daughters. And the child Samuel grew before the LORD."

Thinking Point:
Vows yield more than we demanded for if we faithfully fulfill our vows. 

Today, I will be using myself as a case study about vow. When my wife and I got married and days turned to weeks, weeks turned to months and no pregnancy showed forth. I called my wife one night, I said, let's try vow and see what God will do. I schooled her on vow, how vow should be done and what it involved, after then we agreed to do this joint business. What was our vow, "Lord if you give us a baby boy, from the first month of pregnancy we will pay ₦1000 (equivalent to $6 then, way back 2013) for each month of the pregnancy and the child's naming will be done in the church" that was our vow. Brethren, the same month we made the vow pregnancy showed up and we paid ₦9,000 till his birth. When it was time for naming, we agreed on that, there was no discussion again, we only informed our parents and pastor the location of the naming. Here is where I am going, after then, we never vowed for children any more. No second vow thereabout but we are blessed with children.

When Hannah made her vow it was once, but this vow brought about five other children aside Samuel. The scripture said, "Hannah bears three sons and two daughters", vow reproduces itself when it's fulfilled rightly. Every completed vow yields in multiple that you will need to insist "It okay". That was the case of Hannah, she became a mother at old age when Samuel was given to God. If you will be faithful with your vows God is more than enough to give you beyond your request. Your one time vow can produce your lifetime needs. Be faithful with your vow.
