Thinking Point:
Be sensitive to identify opportunities in disguise around you.
A lovely day with doors of opportunity being open before us today in Jesus Mighty name.
As we continued our study on the Blind Bartimaeus, who was rightly positioned and active regardless of his inability. He was also a sensitive man to the happenings around him. He was blind but his ears were functioning and he made use of them in the right way. He heard the sounds of the crowd, tripping all around and he knew it wasn't normal. Although he couldn't see, he knew something unusual was happening and he never took it lightly, so he asked questions. How sensitive are we with what's going on around us?
Sometimes the occurrence around us is telling us to change position, to pray or ask for help. Yours might even be a time to render help, solve a problem or ask questions but are you that sensitive to it? The Blind Bartimaeus' sensitivity made him ask questions, "Please what is going on? Why the crowd? He asked questions not because of dangers or to beg for arms, but because he was curious about the movement.
If Moses had lacked sensitivity he would have missed the call of God upon his life at Mount Horeb. But his sensitivity prompted him to go see that fire that couldn't consume the bush and God called out to Him from the burning bush, Exodus 3: 1 - 3. God may be seeking your attention with the happening around your life, how sensitive are we to respond to his call? How curious are we with situations around us, at the place of work, within our family, church and environment? We need to be sensitive because we don't know when God will be passing by, when He will be visiting like he visited Abraham. How sensitive are you? Abraham saw 3 men ahead of him while sitting in the frontage of his house. Through sensitivity he approached the men, brought them home, fed them and they blessed him in return, Genesis 18.
Don't just wave information away, be curious of what the happening around you is all about. When things are not the way it should be, ask questions, seek solutions. What may be happening around you may not affect you but may be to your advantage, be sensitive. Bartimaeus was so sensitive that he began to ask questions about what was happening and he did use it to his advantage. Be vigilant to convert situations to your advantage.
God Bless you and Good Morning.
