TOPIC: Faith On The Road: Other's Miracle Doesn't Cancel Yours (3)
One Year Bible Reading:
2 Chronicles 33 - 34
Acts 8:9 - 40
MEMORY VERSE:
Hebrews 11:1.
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
BIBLE READING:
Luke 8:45-48.
“And Jesus said, Who touched me? When all denied, Peter and they that were with him said, Master, the multitude throng thee and press thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?”
“And Jesus said, Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me.”
“And when the woman saw that she was not hid, she came trembling, and falling down before him, she declared unto him before all the people for what cause she had touched him and how she was healed immediately.”
‘And he said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace.”
Thinking Point:
Others Receiving Their Miracle Doesn’t Reduce The Chances Of Your Miracle. Be Patient.
The God of peace will grant us peace in the storms of life. What seems too long to receive God’s attention will begin to give way to His power in our lives in Jesus’ wonderful name, Amen. We will enjoy rest on every side, Amen.
Our focus remains “Faith On The Road” — the journey of Jairus and the woman with the issue of blood. We have seen two virtues portrayed in the life of Jairus, the ruler of the synagogue: Humility and Patience with God, which enhance faith.
Moving forward, I want you to know this: when God is attending to other people’s cases, it does not close your chance of receiving your healing or mean that God has forsaken or forgotten you. No. God attending to those who came behind you is not proof that you are nobody to Him. He is showing you, “If I can do it for this person, I can do yours too.”
A woman with an issue of blood walked up to Jesus and drew her healing while Jesus was on His way to Jairus’ house. That did not mean Jairus’ daughter’s miracle had been taken away. No.
That you have been attending church for years while other members came in and received their blessings does not mean God is not attending to you. No. Other people’s miracles do not cancel yours. Rejoice and celebrate with others — yours is on the way.
You don’t have to be bitter, hate, or discredit them. No. Simply say, “God, remember me too. I know You will do mine very soon.” Not the other way round.
Jairus never saw her as a distraction to his miracle. He saw her as a process to increase his confidence that Jesus would attend to his case.
Jesus, on the other hand, knew He was on the way to Jairus’ house even while someone took His attention. He still had Jairus in mind. He has you in mind. He has me in mind.
The Scripture says, Isaiah 49:14-16 KJV:
_“But Zion said, The LORD hath forsaken me, and my Lord hath forgotten me.
Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.”_
That He is attending to others does not mean He has forgotten us. Keep waiting on Him like Jairus did. Your time is coming.
God Bless you and Good Morning.
