TOPIC: New Month Blessings: New Beginning
One Year Bible Reading:
Psalm 56 - 59
Romans 6: 1 - 14
MEMORY VERSE:
Isaiah 42:8-9.
“I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.
Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them.”
BIBLE READING:
Isaiah 43:18-19.
“Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.
Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.”
Thinking Point:
Your new beginning emerges when you put your past failures behind you.
Welcome to August, our month of new beginnings and a fresh start under God’s leadership. This month, things will take a new shape, a new phase, and a new beginning in every area of our lives. Failure will become a story of the past, and a new story begins, in Jesus’ Mighty Name, Amen.
The word of the Lord to us this new month of August is for us to look away from our past failures and achievements, and to focus on the new things God is about to do.
Have the past seven months brought struggles, disappointment, rejection, or effort without result? God is saying, “Look away from it and begin afresh by renewing your mind.” Have you recorded a great feat in the past seven months? God is saying, “I’m about to give you a new testimony.” All you need to do is be prepared to go further, and cross over to the other side.
For six days God created the heavens and the earth. Genesis 1:1. He put everything in place, and on the seventh day He rested. But on the eighth day. He put man in charge to continue the work of creation.
This eighth month is our month of creating a new beginning from what God has done for us from January till July. God has made everything available for us. We have gained knowledge, wisdom, ideas, and experienced both failures and successes that we must put to work in the month of August for a new beginning.
Adam and Eve began their assignment on the eighth day. After God rested on the seventh day, man took over on the eighth day. But unfortunately, they started wrong. Eve gave in to the enemy and sin entered.
The first thing to avoid this new month is sin. Sin, unwarranted associations that lead to disobedience, and discouragement that distances us from God’s availability.
Don’t go back to your failures or your past ways of life. Don’t sit back on past achievements, for God is ready to do greater things that “eye has not seen, nor ear heard.” 1 Corinthians 2:9.
Be focused on new ideas and fresh insights which God is ready to release upon you.
Get up this morning and begin to think differently.
A new me is emerging this month. I am breaking forth on all sides. My past becomes my experience, and my future begins now. God is creating a new me from today, and I am coming out better and brighter than ever before. Because old things have passed away and new things have begun in my life, in my family, in my ministry, in my business, in my marriage, and over my children.
It’s a new beginning for us, in Jesus’ Mighty Name, Amen.
God bless you and Good Morning.
