TOPIC: RECOGNIZING MY HELPER: Helpers Are Close By (2). MEMORY VERSE: Isaiah 41:6. "6. They helped every one his neighbour; so and every one said to his brother, "Be of good courage." BIBLE READING: 2 Kings 5:1-4. "1. Now Naaman, captain of the host of the king of Syria, was a great man with his master, and honourable, because by him the LORD had given deliverance unto Syria: he was also a mighty man in valour, but he was a leper." "2. And the Syrians had gone out by companies, and had brought away captive out of the land of Israel a little maid; and she waited on Naaman's wife." "3. And she said unto her mistress, Would God my lord were with the prophet that is in Samaria! for he would recover him of his leprosy." "4. And one went in, and told his lord, saying, Thus and thus said the maid that is of the land of Israel." Thinking Point: Most times we are closer to our helpers but our lack of sensitivity or pride dep...

TOPIC: RECOGNIZING MY HELPER: Everyone Is A Potential Helper. MEMORY VERSE: Isaiah 41:6. "6. They helped every one his neighbour; so and every one said to his brother, "Be of good courage." BIBLE READING: John 5:5-8 "5. And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years." "6. When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole?" "7. The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me." "8. Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk." Thinking Point: Never look down on anyone, they may not help you but they are helper to someone as you are a helper to someone else. Every man and woman you see today is a potential destiny helper. Everyone has something belonging to someone which may seem unknown to them. Either h...

Image
TOPIC: LORD, HELP MY HELPERS: Father I Need Your Help. (7)  MEMORY VERSE: Ps. 60:11 "Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man." BIBLE READING: Ps. 121:1-2. "1 I will lift up my eyes to the hills— From whence comes my help? 2 My help comes from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth." Thinking Point: God is the real source of Help, without God no one can help a man. Always cry to Him For help. Without the help of God, no one can render help. If God is not involved in our situations nothing can be achieved by our helpers. He is the source of all help, our helpers are just a channel. So, without God's help, helpers can become haters, may God remember us with His help in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen. The psalmist said, "God is the maker of Heaven and Earth and everything in it. He is our real helper, without Him no man can help us. He is our Protector, Provider, Sustainer, Redeemer, Keeper, Shield, Helper and our Source, whoever jokes with Him...

TOPIC: LORD, HELP MY HELPERS: Your Helper May Need Your Help (6)  MEMORY VERSE: Ps. 60:11 "Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man." BIBLE READING: 1 Sam. 30:9-15 14 We made an invasion of the southern area of the Cherethites, in the territory which belongs to Judah, and of the southern area of Caleb; and we burned Ziklag with fire.” 15 And David said to him, “Can you take me down to this troop?” So he said, “Swear to me by God that you will neither kill me nor deliver me into the hands of my master, and I will take you down to this troop." Thinking Point: Your helping others may be the reason for you to be Helped also. When you have nothing to offer, you might not be helped. What can you offer? Most times, we expect to harvest what we never sow. We believe in miracles which don't come like magic. We seek for what we don't give. We fast, cry and pray for what we don't deserve and God keeps looking at us as a slave demanding the ri...

TOPIC: LORD, HELP MY HELPERS: Connect Me To My Helper. (5)  MEMORY VERSE: Ps. 60:11 "Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man." BIBLE READING: 1 Sam. 30:11-15 "15. Then they found an Egyptian in the field, and brought him to David; and they gave him bread and he ate, and they let him drink water. 12 And they gave him a piece of a cake of figs and two clusters of raisins. So when he had eaten, his strength came back to him; for he had eaten no bread nor drunk water for three days and three nights. 13 Then David said to him, “To whom do you belong, and where are you from?” And he said, “I am a young man from Egypt, servant of an Amalekite; and my master left me behind, because three days ago I fell sick. 14 We made an invasion of the southern area of the Cherethites, in the territory which belongs to Judah, and of the southern area of Caleb; and we burned Ziklag with fire.” 15 And David said to him, “Can you take me down to this troop?” So he s...

TOPIC: LORD, HELP MY HELPERS: Establish My Helper to Help me. (4)  MEMORY VERSE: Ps. 60:11 "Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man." BIBLE READING: 2 Sam. 9:1-6 "3. Then the king said, “Is there not still someone of the house of Saul, to whom I may show the kindness of God?” And Ziba said to the king, “There is still a son of Jonathan who is lame in his feet.” "4. So the king said to him, “Where is he?” And Ziba said to the king, “Indeed he is in the house of Machir the son of Ammiel, in Lo Debar.”  "5. Then King David sent and brought him out of the house of Machir the son of Ammiel, from Lo Debar." Thinking Point: An established helper finds it easier to help others. Until God settles your helper they may never remember you. May the Lord handle the issues before our helper so they can help us early enough in Jesus' Name, Amen Not all Helpers are that wicked or selfish. Some of them didn't forget us intentionally. Unt...

BIBLE READING: Gen. 41:8-9 "8 Now it came to pass in the morning that his spirit was troubled, and he sent and called for all the magicians of Egypt and all its wise men. And Pharaoh told them his dreams, but there was no one who could interpret them for Pharaoh." "9. Then the chief butler spoke to Pharaoh, saying: “I remember my faults this day." Thinking Point: Our Helpers are human with a tendency to forget their promises or others' pain not until God intervenes will remembrance come.  Our God has a way of handling our situations. As long as we can pray and seek His face, God will never abandon us for a moment. If we will not give up on Him He can never give up on us. He has ordained helpers for all of us. He set men and women who should lift us from our falling stages in life and until those pe...

TOPIC: LORD, HELP MY HELPERS: Let Them Act Rightly. (2) MEMORY VERSE: Ps. 60:11 "Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man." BIBLE READING: Exo. 2:11-16 "11 Now it came to pass in those days, when Moses was grown, that he went out to his brethren and looked at their burdens. And he saw an Egyptian beating a Hebrew, one of his brethren." "12. So he looked this way and that way, and when he saw no one, he killed the Egyptian and hid him in the sand." "13. And when he went out the second day, behold, two Hebrew men were fighting, and he said to the one who did the wrong, “Why are you striking your companion?” 14 Then he said, “Who made you a prince and a judge over us? Do you intend to kill me as you killed the Egyptian?” So Moses feared and said, “Surely this thing is known!” 15 When Pharaoh heard of this matter, he sought to kill Moses. But Moses fled from the face of Pharaoh and dwelt in the land of Midian; and he sat dow...

"12 Then he said to me, “Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard; and I have come because of your words." "13. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days; and behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left alone there with the kings of Persia." Thinking Point: Some helpers are willing to help us but powers and strongholds may be holding them back, only God can intervene on our behalf. I don't know who this message is directed to, but one thing I'm sure of is that, our helpers will be Helped before this month ends in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen. Whatever may be holding our helpers all along, this last week of ...

TOPIC: GET UP AND MOVE ON: Focus On God To Get Up (7)  MEMORY VERSE: Micah 7:8 "8 Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord shall be a light unto me." BIBLE READING: Hebrews 12:1-2 "1 Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us," "2. Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." Thinking Point: If we will rise again, we need to take our mind away from that situation or what brought about the fall and Look to Jesus for our rising.  It's my prayer this morning that we will rise again, we will get it right to fulfill what God has predestined us to be in Jesus name, Amen. TOPIC: GET UP AND MOVE ON: Coming Out Renewed (6)  MEMORY VERSE: Micah 7:8 "8 Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord shall be a light unto me." BIBLE READING: Daniel 11:35 "35 And some of those of understanding shall fall, To Refine Them, Purify Them, And Make Them White, Until The Time Of The End; Because It Is Still For The Appointed Time." Thinking Point: For every Fall there is a refining and a purifying if we are willing to take the step to rise up.  God makes situations to work in our favour. Those dark and bad situations are to reveal the glory of God. In any situation you find yourself, there is always something positive about it but until you go through you might not be able to detect it. He uses every condition that happens to both the righteous and unrighteous to win soul. Your situation is a lesson for someone far or near to draw them closer to God. Our Bible reading said, when the r...

TOPIC: GET UP AND MOVE ON: The Righteous Always Raise (5)  MEMORY VERSE: Micah 7:8 "8 Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord shall be a light unto me." BIBLE READING: Prov. 24:15-16 "15 Do not lie in wait, O wicked man, against the dwelling of the righteous; Do not plunder his resting place; 16 For a righteous man may fall seven times, And rise again, But the wicked shall fall by calamity." Thinking Point: The righteous are not meant to be down permanently, they are designed to rise above all occurrences. As the righteous, falling may occur many times in the race of life. Things may take a different turn in the next second. The acts of righteousness attract envy, create enmity which brings both spiritual and physical attacks. Some of these attacks may lead to falling or losing something important but one thing is sure, the righteous will always overcome and stand tall. Job was a good example of ...

Hope you are not selfish about your people for greed of money, position, title and wealth? Using Esther As Our Case Study For This Article "6. For how can I endure to see MY PEOPLE AND MY FAMILY slaughtered and destroyed?” Who was Esther? She was a slave and an orphan brought up by Mordecai in Babylon. BIBLE READING: 2 Samuel 12:15-20. "15 Then Nathan departed to his house. And the LORD struck the child that Uriah’s wife bore to David, and it became ill. 16 David therefore pleaded with God for the child, and David fasted and went in and lay all night on the ground. 17 So the elders of his house arose and went to him, to raise him up from the ground. But he would not, nor did he eat food with them. 18 Then on the seventh day it came to pass that the child died. And the servants of David were afraid to tell him that the child was dead. For they said, “Indeed, while the child was alive, we spoke to him, and he would not heed our voice. How can we tell him that the child is dead? He may do some harm!”  19 When David saw that his servants were w...

"30. Then Samson said, "Let me die with the Philistines!” And he pushed with all his might, and the temple fell on the lords and all the people who were in it. So the dead that he killed at his death were more than he had killed in his life." Thinking Point: Trace your step back to God. To be sober is a sign of repentance and readiness to turn a n...

Thinking Point: Little help is all we need to get back to our feet. Stop searching for finished help, be sensitive to that available help and grab it  This new week, we shall get our steps right, our feet shall lead us rightly, placing us where God has ordained for us, in Jesus' Mighty Name, Amen. But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd. Thinking Point: None is as compassionate as our Lord Jesus. He showed compassion throughout His earthly stay which made Him fulfil His mission till date. As we start this fresh week, we will enjoy God's compassion and we will show compassion to others in Jesus' Mighty Name, Amen. The second act of Jesus while on earth was showing compassion to as many as crosses His path. What is compassion? it's sympathetic feelings and concerns for the sufferings and misfortune of others.
