TOPIC: WEEK OF PRAISES:  Last Tuesday Of The Year (3) MEMORY VERSE:  Psalms 124:1. "1. If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, now may Israel say;" "2. If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, when men rose up against us:" BIBLE READING: 1 Thessalonians 5:18. "18. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. Thinking Point: No matter the situation we are in, what God requests of us is to Give Him Thanks, for that is His Will. "1. To God be the glory Great things He has done So loved He the world that He gave us His Son Who yielded His life an atonement for sin And opened the life-gate that all may go in" Chorus Praise the Lord, praise the Lord Let the earth hear His voice Praise the Lord, praise the Lord Let the people rejoice Come to the Father Through Jesus the Son Give Him the glory Great things He has done." "2. O perfect redemption, the purchase of blood To every b...

TOPIC: WEEK OF PRAISES:  Last Monday Of The Year (2) MEMORY VERSE:  Psalms 124:1. "1. If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, now may Israel say;" "2. If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, when men rose up against us:" BIBLE READING: Psalms 124:7. "7. Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped." Thinking Point: We are freed from every attempt of the devil against our lives this year, not by wisdom but by God's mercy. Let's praise God with this hymn for His friendship with us this year. 1 There’s not a Friend like the lowly Jesus: No, not one! no, not one! None else could heal all our souls’ diseases: No, not one! no, not one!   Chorus  Jesus knows all about our struggles; He will guide ’til the day is done: There’s not a Friend like the lowly Jesus: No, not one! no, not one! 2 No friend like Him is so high and holy, No, not one! no, not one! And yet no frie...

TOPIC: WEEK OF PRAISES:  Last Sunday Of The Year (1) MEMORY VERSE:  Psalms 124:1. "1. If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, now may Israel say;" "2. If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, when men rose up against us:" BIBLE READING: Psalms 124:6. "6. Blessed be the LORD, who hath not given us as a prey to their teeth." Thinking Point: It's time to take stock of God's blessings over the last 363 days with this Hymn. 1 When upon life's billows you are tempest tossed, When you are discouraged, thinking all is lost, Count your many blessings, name them one by one, And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done. Refrain: Count your blessings, name them one by one; Count your blessings, see what God hath done; Count your blessings, name them one by one; Count your many blessings, see what God hath done. 2 Are you ever burdened with a load of care? Does the cross seem heavy you are called to bear? Count your many bl...

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel Week 52, Day 7, Saturday, 28th December 2024 TOPIC: THE DECEIT OF THE DEVIL: Merciful God (14)

Image
TOPIC: THE DECEIT OF THE DEVIL: Merciful God (14) MEMORY VERSE:  1 Peter 5:8. "8. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:" BIBLE READING: Genesis 3:21 "21. Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them." Thinking Point: The Love of God towards us will always speak no matter how much we stray from Him. He remains merciful if we will return to Him. This day, may the mercy of God perfect every wrong in our lives in Jesus' Mighty name, Amen. Beloved of God, God didn't hate and can't reject you because of your sins or disobedience. He already sent Christ to die for all our sins, so matter the disobedience He still lives with us, He may chastise, rebuke or correct that doesn't mean we are rejected by Him, He still loves us as we are if we will allow our heart to return to Him. You are not rejected nor forsaken because of those...

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel Week 52, Day 6, Friday, 27th December 2024 TOPIC: THE DECEIT OF THE DEVIL: God's Punishment (13)

Image
TOPIC: THE DECEIT OF THE DEVIL: God's Punishment (13) MEMORY VERSE:  1 Peter 5:8. "8. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:" BIBLE READING: Genesis 3:14, 16-17. "4. And the LORD God said unto the serpent, ..." "16. Unto the woman he said, ...." "17. And unto Adam he said, ..." Thinking Point: When he leads and we follow there Is safety but when He leads and we turn away, there are repercussions. May God's Mercy locate us and bring us back to God's purpose in Jesus' Mighty Name Amen. From our study yesterday, we saw how the blame game played out in the garden of Eden. No one was ready to take responsibility for their action from Adam to Eve and then to the serpent, only the serpent couldn't push the blame to the devil because it couldn't fathom how he was controlled by such a spirit. Nevertheless, Blame game doesn't stop the rep...

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel Week 52, Day 5, Thursday, 26th December 2024 TOPIC: THE DECEIT OF THE DEVIL: Avoid Blame Game (12)

TOPIC: THE DECEIT OF THE DEVIL: Avoid Blame Game (12) MEMORY VERSE:  1 Peter 5:8. "8. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:" BIBLE READING: Genesis 3:11-13. "11. And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?" "12. And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat." "13. And the LORD God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat." Thinking Point: Enough of casting and pushing blame on others, take responsibility for your actions. Within the remaining days of this year, God will visit you and make you smile with tears, in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen. We have been studying the consequences of disobedience to God's instructions. Another consequence is what...

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel Week 52, Day 4, Wednesday, 25th December 2024 TOPIC: THE DECEIT OF THE DEVIL: Fear, Steps In (11)

TOPIC: THE DECEIT OF THE DEVIL: Fear, Steps In (11) MEMORY VERSE:  1 Peter 5:8. "8. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:" BIBLE READING: Genesis 3:8-10. "8. And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden." "9. And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?" "10. And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself." We, at MOBILE DAILY DEVOTIONAL, wish all our readers, Merry Christmas, the joy of the season will not elude you, and the peace of God surrounds you as always in Jesus name, Amen. Another consequence of disobedience is Fear. When we disobey God, we might seem bold but we begin to live in fear. Every act will be carried out with fear...

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel Week 52, Day 3, Tuesday, 24th December 2024 TOPIC: THE DECEIT OF THE DEVIL: Men's Effort Begins (10)

TOPIC: THE DECEIT OF THE DEVIL: Men's Effort Begins (10) MEMORY VERSE:  1 Peter 5:8. "8. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:" BIBLE READING: Genesis 3:7. "7. And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; AND THEY SEWED FIG LEAVES TOGETHER, AND MADE THEMSELVES APRONS." Thinking Point: Disobedience makes man ashamed of going back to God and start trying men's way. Father, help us remember to turn to you early when we miss our steps, in Jesus Mighty name, Amen. Speaking of other consequences having eaten the fruit in the garden, human effort steps in, confusion and loss of direction becomes vivid. What one finds difficult to do under the glory of God becomes the only alternative, and above all no thought of going back to God. When Abraham listened to Sarah to have Hagai as his wife, human effort seemed the best at that moment to him. He we...

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel Week 52, Day 2, Monday, 23rd December 2024 TOPIC: THE DECEIT OF THE DEVIL: Nakedness: Departure Of Glory (9)

TOPIC: THE DECEIT OF THE DEVIL: Nakedness: Departure Of Glory (9) MEMORY VERSE:  1 Peter 5:8. "8. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:" BIBLE READING: Genesis 3:7. "7. And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons." Thinking Point: Nakedness signifies the absence of God's Glory which leads to shame. May we not be put to shame in Jesus name, Amen. Welcome to a new week with perfection of God's work in our lives in Jesus name, Amen. Yesterday, we looked at one consequence of eating the forbidden fruit. We shall focus on another consequence today which is nakedness. What does it signify? Seeing one's weaknesses that were unknown. Shame means the departure of God's glory upon one's life. It is my prayer today, that we shall not be put to shame in any area of our lives...

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel Week 52, Day 1, Sunday, 22nd December 2024 TOPIC: THE DECEIT OF THE DEVIL: Regret Steps In (8)

Image
TOPIC: THE DECEIT OF THE DEVIL: Regret Steps In (8) MEMORY VERSE:  1 Peter 5:8. "8. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:" BIBLE READING: Genesis 3:7. "7. And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons." Thinking Point: Consequence is the opposite of reward. For every mistake or disobedience there are consequences. My prayer this morning is that, we shall not tread those steps that will end in regret in Jesus name, no matter how disguise the devil may come, we will not be his victim in Jesus’s mighty name, Amen. When we derail from God's instructions, no matter how sealed our conscience, we feel this "Had I know" attitude, "What have I done?" "How could this happen?" This is the beginning of regret in one's life after going contrary to God's le...

TOPIC: THE DECEIT OF THE DEVIL: Looking For Accomplice (7) MEMORY VERSE:  1 Peter 5:8. "8. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:" BIBLE READING: Genesis 3:6. "6. ... she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, AND GAVE ALSO UNTO HER HUSBAND WITH HER; AND HE DID EAT. Thinking Point: Not all advice or guidance are purely intentional, some want to win you to their bad folds, beware of your advisers. Within the remaining days of the year, may we not come in contact with those who will waste our lives in Jesus' Mighty name, Amen. Many find themselves in situations they can't comprehend all because they cohabited with wrong people. Many lure others into their mess in order to have them as accomplices. It is my prayer, we will not be unfortunate in life in Jesus' name, Amen. A young man once narrated his story of how he embarked on a night journey not knowing he boarded a ca...

TOPIC: THE DECEIT OF THE DEVIL: Taste of Sin (6) MEMORY VERSE:  1 Peter 5:8. "8. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:" BIBLE READING: Genesis 3:6. "6. ...and she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, ..." Thinking Point: Discontentment is the habit that takes your focus away from all you have to little things you lack. It's my prayer that we shall be victorious in the face of any form of temptation in Jesus' Mighty Name, Amen Yesterday, we saw how the devil painted the forbidden tree and its fruit to Eve and instantly she fell for the gimmicks of the devil. Having lusted after the fruit, she plucked the fruit and ate. This is always the desire of the devil for we believers in Christ. The reason why you keep seeing that negative side of every situation is for the devil to take over what gives you joy and attach you to God. The devil knows he already lost the battl...

TOPIC: THE DECEIT OF THE DEVIL: Lust Of The Eyes (5) MEMORY VERSE:  1 Peter 5:8. "8. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:" BIBLE READING: Genesis 3:6. "6. And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, ..." Thinking Point: Fantasy is what the devil uses against believers, making the eye see beyond what is really before it which is fake. Within the remaining days of this month and year, the Lord will answer your heart's desires and make you a blessing in Jesus' Mighty name, Amen. The trick of the devil is to paint someone else's garden greener than yours, to show you packaging without letting you know the content. He is a liar as Jesus called him. All he does is to distract you from godliness and God's will for your life. Let ...

TOPIC: THE DECEIT OF THE DEVIL: Devil focus on Physical Not spiritual (4) MEMORY VERSE:  1 Peter 5:8. "8. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:" BIBLE READING: Genesis 3:4-5. "4. And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:" "5. For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil." Thinking Point: One thing to know about the devil's deceit is that he's always physical and not spiritual in his tactics, be vigilant. No matter how the devil paints disobedience, may the Lord open our spiritual eyes to see it as disobedience in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen. One of the ways to know when the devil is at work is that his ideas are based on physicality not spirituality. When an advice or thought that keeps coming into your heart is against God's instructions, you need to be ...

TOPIC: THE DECEIT OF THE DEVIL: Instructions: Private and Public Information (3) MEMORY VERSE:  1 Peter 5:8. "8. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:" BIBLE READING: Genesis 3:2-3. "2. And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:" "3. But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die." Thinking Point: Every instructions contains what to do (act upon) and what to keep (personal secret). To differentiate them is the issue we all have. A good day to everyone, every decision today shall work in our favour in the precious name of Jesus, Amen. When God gives an instruction it's always in two folds, He directs us on what we need to do which we can relate with people or discuss with other persons, and also gives us a secret which is...

TOPIC: THE DECEIT OF THE DEVIL: Identifying Unwanted Visitors (2) MEMORY VERSE:  1 Peter 5:8. "8. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:" BIBLE READING: Genesis 3:1. "1. Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?" Thinking Point: Sensitivity to who we allow into our space and what we discuss with them is a quality all believers must possess. It is my heart's desire that our spiritual sensitivity will be at alert to identify who to mingle with this week in Jesus name, Amen. As Individuals, we all have our circle, we know who we want in that space and who is not permitted to be in there. Likewise, in our spiritual lives, we should know and identify who is permitted to come into that space. Who should raise some discussion with us and to...

Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?" Thinking Point: Serpent was a tool in the hand of the devil, anyone can be that tool, Be warned. This week, the Lord shall quench our thirst for the ending of the year, burdens will be lifted off our shoulders in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen. I welcome you to this series of "Deceit Of The Devil", and we shall be focusing on Genesis chapter 3, as we see what really went wrong from the beginning and apply it to our present walk with God. We are all aware that chapter 1 and 2 of Genesis was about creation of heaven and earth and all that w...

TOPIC: UNUSUAL ACTS OF GOD: Can Be Activated (7) MEMORY VERSE:  Ephesians 3:20. "20. Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us".  BIBLE READING: Jeremiah 33:3. "3. Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not." Thinking Point: God does show His act on whoever He desires but we can also activate His Act in our lives through many ways. Before the year runs out, God's Act will be activated in our lives in Jesus name, we will become a sign and a wonder to the world in Jesus' Mighty name, Amen. This week we have seen God's act in the lives of His people in various ways. We've seen how God turned situations around with His Act. We also studied some act of Jesus in the lives of those who never asked or requested for His act. Brethren, I want you to know that, we can also activate God's Act in our lives w...

Jesus said, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time he stinketh: for he hath been dead four days." "40. Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?" "43. And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth." "44. And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go." And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth." "2. And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?" "3. Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him." "4. Then Elisha said, Hear ye the word of the LORD; Thus saith the LORD, To morrow about this time shall a measure of fine flour be sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, in the gate of Samaria." "2. Then a lord on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God, and said, Behold, if the LORD would make windows in heaven, might this thing be? And he said, Behold, thou shalt see it with thine eyes, but shalt not eat thereof." "6. I thank thee, and praise thee, O thou God of my fathers, who hast given me wisdom and might, and hast made known unto me now what we desired of thee: for thou hast now made known unto us the king's matter."
