Oluboye Emmanuel Ministry  Mobile Daily Devotional Week 18, Day 4,  Wednesday, 30th April 2025  TOPIC: TYPES OF MENTALITY: Positive Mentality (11) One Year Bible Reading:  2 Samuel 7 - 8, Luke 23: 50 - 24: 1 -12. MEMORY VERSE: Philippians 4:8. "8. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. BIBLE READING: Job 14:14. "14. If a man die, shall he live again? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change comes." Thinking Point: The best way to overcome negative mentality is to be positive about everything. It's easier to be negative than to be positive. Negative advisers are more than positive advisers. Negative lanes are more crowded than positive lanes, because it's easier to be negative than to be positive. T...

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. BIBLE READING: Proverbs 29:23 "23. A man's pride shall bring him low: but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit." Thinking Point: Being too big to apologise is a sign of pride. Yesterday, I discussed Pride mentality and I am led to still speak on the same topic today. Pride is more complex than we think. When you are too big to say the word "sorry" or apologise to in a hot quarrel it's a sign of pride. Yes, sometimes you may not be at fault, you may be blamed for doing what's right but bringing oneself down to say, ...

BIBLE READING: Proverbs 29:23 "23. A man's pride shall bring him low: but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit." Thinking Point: Pride mentality Relegates while humility exult. It's another Monday, we receive the strength to journey through the week unhurt and successful in Jesus' mighty name, Amen. Our focus on mentality today is, Pride Mentality, in order word, we can say being boastful. This mentality has little to do with age but power, position, wealth and arrogance. Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;" Thinking Point: Our thoughts determine who we are. BIBLE READING: Luke 19:20-21. "20. And another came, saying, Lord, behold, here is thy pound, which I have kept laid up in a napkin:" "21. For I feared thee, because thou art an austere man: thou takest up that thou layedst not down, and reapest that thou didst not sow." Thinking Point: When you are not grateful for the little you have or received, you can't be joyful when you have more than enough.  Brethren, an ingrate mentality breaks th...

BIBLE READING: Proverbs 11:24. "24. There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty." Thinking Point: Poverty mentality isn't just a product of lack of job or wealth but the ability to withhold even what we have. God is not proud that some of His children are rich and some are poor because one of the reasons for the death of our Lord Jesus Christ is for us to become rich and wealthy in all areas of life. No one is created poor but our mentality determines where we ...

BIBLE READING: Galatians 5:26. "26. Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another." Thinking Point: Envy driven mentality leads to destruction of others without self progress. The causes of many great and aspiring persons' death and downfall can be traced to envy driven mentality. Many great people with good hearts were destroyed by this mentality. It won't be far-fetched that those they helped or called colleagues, friends, family, mentors and spouses destroyed them because of this envy driven menta...

BIBLE READING: Numbers 13:30. "30. And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it." Thinking Point: Faith driving mentality is what God desires from us as sons and daughters of God. It is my pleasure to welcome you to this new week, which is the week of death, victory and resurrection of our Lord Jesus, may His death for us not be in vain in Jesus's Mighty Name, Amen. Mobile Daily Devotional with Oluboye Emmanuel Week 16, Day 7, Saturday, 19th April 2025 TOPIC: CAUSES OF DELAY: In It's Time (7)

Image
TOPIC: CAUSES OF DELAY: In It's Time (7) One Year Bible Reading:  1 Samuel 8 - 10, Luke 17 : 11 - 18: 1 - 14. MEMORY VERSE:?  Ecclesiastes 3:11. "11. He Hath Made Everything Beautiful In His Time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end." Thinking Point: God's timing supersedes every reason for delay because He makes things beautiful in their time. It's been a week with deep teaching on reasons for delay. We have seen various reasons that cause delay for believers but I would like us to know about this last cause of delay which Is, for God to make things beautiful in its time, not God's time but the time that befits our glory, our manifestation, our raising and our fulfilment on earth. Many might say, everything we've been discussing from the beginning of the week has been tried but delay still persists, relax and sit back for God is using that delay to pr...

TOPIC: CAUSES OF DELAY: By Not Involving God (6) One Year Bible Reading:  1 Samuel 3 - 7, Luke 17 : 1 -10. MEMORY VERSE:?  Deuteronomy 1:6. "6. The LORD our God spake unto us in Horeb, saying, Ye have dwelt long enough in this mount:" BIBLE READING:  Proverbs 3:5-7. '5. Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding." "6. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." "7. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil." Thinking Point: Trusting in our ability without consulting God leads to delay and a waste of time and resources. God is the ultimate in all we do. No matter what we know or have, without Him we are nothing. We may be working and walking around, enjoying affluence, without involving Him brethren, that may not be the fulfillment He ordained for us, we may be working someone else's calling or area leaving ours when we depend on our own understandi...

TOPIC: CAUSES OF DELAY: Lack Of Action (5) One Year Bible Reading:  1 Samuel 1 - 2, Luke 16. MEMORY VERSE:?  Deuteronomy 1:6. "6. The LORD our God spake unto us in Horeb, saying, Ye have dwelt long enough in this mount:" BIBLE READING:  Proverbs 24:33-34. "33. Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep: 34. So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth; and thy want as an armed man." Thinking Point: Not acting or taking steps on what you called to do attract delay of manifestation. Beloved of God, not taking the necessary steps towards what we are called to do is another way of opening the door of delay in one's life. Many give excuses for not acting, some nurses fear or claim to wait for a specific time to take a step. Another set of people claimed the full resources are not available to act and remain in perpetual delay without fulfilling the destiny of God upon their lives. King Solomon said, "33. Yet a l...

TOPIC: CAUSES OF DELAY: Lack Of Information (4) One Year Bible Reading:  Ruth 1 - 4, Luke 15: 11 - 32. MEMORY VERSE:  Deuteronomy 1:6. "6. The LORD our God spake unto us in Horeb, saying, Ye have dwelt long enough in this mount:" BIBLE READING:  Proverbs 11:14. "14. Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety." Thinking Point: Information is power they say, lack of it leads to delay in achievement. Knowing what to do is different from knowing how to do it. Having wisdom is different from knowing how to apply wisdom. Both need information. When you get direction you've known what to do but to do it also needs information. This is where getting counsel comes in, how do I go about it? What can I do to make it different? What makes others fail doing the same thing? These and more are what counsel does. When I was in my junior secondary school, there was this subject called Technical Drawing. I don't have...

TOPIC: CAUSES OF DELAY: Lack Of Good Leadership or Mentorship (3) One Year Bible Reading:  Judges 19 - 21, Luke 14: 25 - 15: 1 - 10. MEMORY VERSE:  Deuteronomy 1:6. "6. The LORD our God spake unto us in Horeb, saying, Ye have dwelt long enough in this mount:" BIBLE READING:  Exodus 33:11. "11. And the LORD spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend. And he turned again into the camp: but his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the tabernacle." Thinking Point: The best way to enjoy speed in life is to be led by those who had plight that road and succeeded before. We started by saying disobedience to God's instructions leads to delay, and yesterday we were made to know that lack of direction can also be the reason for delay. Today, lack of good leadership or mentorship leads to delay in one's life. Imagine following someone who doesn't have any record of success in life and who never sees reas...

The LORD our God spake unto us in Horeb, saying, Ye have dwelt long enough in this mount:" BIBLE READING:  1 Samuel 9:5-6. "5. And when they were come to the land of Zuph, Saul said to his servant that was with him, Come, and let us return; lest my father leave caring for the asses, and take thought for us." "6. And he said unto him, Behold now, there is in this city a man of God, and he is an honourable man; all that he saith cometh surely to pass: now let us go thither; peradventure he can shew us our way that we should go." Thinking Point: When we lack direction from God we tend to live a life of delay. Life is a journey that needs a spiritual compass to navigate through it successfully. When we don't know where and what to do, every direction is right before us and any direction can take us out of G...

"6. The LORD our God spake unto us in Horeb, saying, Ye have dwelt long enough in this mount:" BIBLE READING:  Genesis 16:15-16 - 17: 1. "15. And Hagar bare Abram a son: and Abram called his son's name, which Hagar bare, Ishmael." "16. And Abram was fourscore and six years old, when Hagar bare Ishmael to Abram." "1. And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect." Thinking Point: Delay can be a product of disobedience to God's instructions and directives. I welcome you to this new week in Jesus' mighty name, Amen. This week our focus shall be on the word, "Delay" which has been a tool that hin...

TOPIC: LESSONS FROM HANNAH'S LIFE: Make A Vow Today (21) One Year Bible Reading:  Judges 12 - 13, Luke 13 :1 - 21 MEMORY VERSE:  Heb. 13:8 "8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever." BIBLE READING:  1 Samuel 1:11 "11. And she vowed a vow, and said, O LORD of hosts, if thou wilt indeed look on the affliction of thine handmaid, and remember me, and not forget thine handmaid, ..." Thinking Point: When the situation seems to be adamant, let vow crack and break its stronghold. It's been three (3) weeks studying the word "VOW" through the life of Hannah. Vow is a principle to accessing God and withholding what He has predestined to us from the beginning. It's a key that involves more commitment than just praying. Vow is a powerful and also a dangerous tool to us because it can become a delicate tool to the one who vows without paying and can also be a tool for change of story to the one who makes the vow and fulfills it. ...

(20) One Year Bible Reading:  Judges 10 - 11, Luke 12 :49 - 59 MEMORY VERSE:  Heb. 13:8 "8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever." BIBLE READING:  1 Samuel 2:18, 26. "18. But Samuel ministered before the LORD, being a child, girded with a linen ephod." "26. And the child Samuel grew on, and was in favour both with the LORD, and also with men." Thinking Point: Vow makes you the most preferred to be chosen by God and Men. Every seed produced by vow becomes the most preferred wherever they are. Vow makes you the most favoured by God and man. It singles you out amongst equal and the available and makes you the best of them all. Whatever vow produces becomes sought after in all areas of life. Samuel was a boy ministering to Eli but he outshines all the grown up children of Eli. The quality of the life of Samuel was so much different compared to that of the children of ...

TOPIC: LESSONS FROM HANNAH'S LIFE: Vow Preserves. (19) One Year Bible Reading:  Judges 9, Luke 12 : 22 - 48 MEMORY VERSE:  Heb. 13:8 "8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever." BIBLE READING:  1 Samuel 2:21. "21. ... And the child Samuel grew before the LORD." Thinking Point: Products of vow are preserved and sustained by God. It's another wonderful day for everyone today, it's my prayer that as many that have vowed during this teaching shall have their desires granted with God's blessings in Jesus name, Amen. Another thing I want us to check today is what happens to any product of vow? Yes. God preserves and guides it judiciously. He safely guides whatever is the product of vow. It won't add sorrow nor bring saddens to your life, that is, if you've paid your part of the bargain. Whatever the Lord gives He always preserves and keeps jealousy. When Samuel left his family at a tender age, (because after he was han...

MEMORY VERSE:  Heb. 13:8 "8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever." BIBLE READING:  1 Samuel 2:20-21. "20. And Eli blessed Elkanah and his wife, and said, The LORD give thee seed of this woman for the loan which is lent to the LORD. And they went unto their own home." "21. And the LORD visited Hannah, so that she conceived, and bare three sons and two daughters. And the child Samuel grew before the LORD." Thinking Point: Vows yield more than we demanded for if we faithfully fulfill our vows.  Today, I will be using myself as a case study about vow. When my wife and I got married and days turned to weeks, weeks turned to months and no pregnancy showed forth. I called my wife one night, I said, let's try vow and see what God will do. I schooled her on vow, how vow should be done and what it involved, afte...

MEMORY VERSE:  Heb. 13:8 "8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever." BIBLE READING:  1 Samuel 2:1-2. "1. And Hannah prayed, and said, My heart rejoiceth in the LORD, mine horn is exalted in the LORD: my mouth is enlarged over mine enemies; because I rejoice in thy salvation." "2. There is none holy as the LORD: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God." Thinking Point: Don't end your vow when you pay, end it by Praising Him for answering you. As we have all learnt about vow for the past two weeks, we've seen how Hannah handled vow and I believed many of us would have put this to test during the course of this lesson. It will be my pleasure to celebrate with you when those vows become realities. I assure you, it will end in testimony for you in Jesus name, Amen. Yest...

BIBLE READING:  1 Sam. 1:24-25 24 Now when she had weaned him, she took him up with her, with three bulls, one ephah of flour, and a skin of wine, and brought him to the house of the LORD in Shiloh. And the child was young. 25 Then they slaughtered a bull, and brought the child to Eli. Thinking Point: Redeem your vow when God answered your request. Do as you have promised. This part is the most important and dangerous part of every vow. God is a faithful God who will always be faithful to His word. When He has proved Himself Faithful, He expects us to also hold faithful to our vows. Many Christians have lost what they got from God through vow because they refuse to pay their bargain. He who gives it can also take it back, because He is the giver and He can retriev...
