Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel Week 44, Day 5, Thursday, 31st October 2024 TOPIC: TRUSTING GOD: Praises Replaces Grumbling (5)

Image
TOPIC: TRUSTING GOD: Praises Replaces Grumbling (5)  MEMORY VERSE:  Proverbs 3:5-6. "5. Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding." "6. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." BIBLE READING: Acts 16:23 - 26 "23. They were severely beaten, and then they were thrown into prison. The jailer was ordered to make sure they didn’t escape." "24. So the jailer put them into the inner dungeon and clamped their feet in the stocks." "25. Around midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening." "26. Suddenly, there was a massive earthquake, and the prison was shaken to its foundations. All the doors immediately flew open, and the chains of every prisoner fell off!" Thinking Point: Our trust in God is what defines our praises instead of grumbling when all things look contrary. Trusting God presents us foolishly ...

TOPIC: TRUSTING GOD: Involves Obedience (4)  MEMORY VERSE:  Proverbs 3:5-6. "5. Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding." "6. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." BIBLE READING: Genesis 22:1-3. "1. And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I am." "2. And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of." "3. And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and saddled his ass, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son, and clave the wood for the burnt offering, and rose up, and went unto the place of which God had told him." Thinking Point: Obedience is a proof of trust. Even when instructions seem stupid or senseless, tru...

TOPIC: TRUSTING GOD: It Involves Patience (3)  MEMORY VERSE:  Proverbs 3:5-6. "5. Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding." "6. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." BIBLE READING: Psalms 40:1-3. "1. I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry." "2. He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings." "3. And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD." Thinking Point: Trusting in God involves being patient till He deems fit to respond to our request. Our trust in Him will be rewarded soon in Jesus' name, Amen. Often, we claim to trust in God but we hasten Him to do what we are trusting Him for in our own way and time. We use the word, "I trust Him" but we seem to be ...

TOPIC: Trusting God: No Fear But Boldness (2)  MEMORY VERSE:  Proverbs 3:5-6. "5. Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding." "6. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." BIBLE READING: Psalms 125:1-2. "1. They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever." "2. As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the LORD is round about his people from henceforth even for ever." Thinking Point: Our trust In God should propel the boldness that His ability can't fail. A pleasant day in Jesus' Mighty Name, Amen. Brethren, no one trusts in the Lord and regrets. Nobody trusts in God's ability and is put to shame because the word of the Lord is trustable and tested anywhere and anytime. Our trust in God should eradicate fear of failure and disappointment because God is not a man to fail or change His mind. What He says is wh...

TOPIC: Trusting God: No Complain But Commendation MEMORY VERSE:  Proverbs 3:5-6. "5. Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding." "6. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." BIBLE READING: Luke 1:6-7. "6. And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless." "7. And they had no child, because that Elisabeth was barren, and they both were now well stricken in years." Thinking Point: Trusting God for a miracle does not involve complaining and grumbling of your services to God. Happy New week to you all. This week will glorify God in our lives in Jesus' Mighty name, Amen.  As many that have been trusting God for one response or the other, one attitude to run away from is complaining while waiting. Trusting God has never been easy, it takes time and a lot is involved. But one of the attitudes that should be avoided...

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel Week 43, Day 7, Saturday, 26th October 2024 TOPIC: BUILD YOURSELF: Build Others (7)

Image
TOPIC: BUILD YOURSELF: Build Others (7) MEMORY VERSE: Jude 1:20 "20. But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost." BIBLE READING: Exodus 33:11 "11. ..., And he turned again into the camp: but his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the tabernacle." Thinking Point: We grow from building ourselves to building followers that will do beyond our reach. Who are you building? Today is the last day of our study on building Yourself. We talked about building our home yesterday; our family, our focus today is on those that are serving under us, people who believed in our leadership. How are we impacting this next generation? How are we building them? Are you training or using them? Are you showing them leadership traits or threats? Do you make them feel comfortable or uncomfortable serving you? What are you impacting in them? How are you building them? The Bible we all believe showed us ma...

Image
TOPIC: BUILD YOURSELF: Build Your Home (6) MEMORY VERSE: Jude 1:20 "20. But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost." BIBLE READING: Genesis 2:15-18 "15. The lord God placed the man in the Garden of Eden to tend and watch over it." "16. But the lord God warned him, “You may freely eat the fruit of every tree in the garden—  "17. except the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. If you eat its fruit, you are sure to die.”  "18. Then the lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper who is just right for him.”  Thinking Point: Building your spiritual life, a mannered life and career life without building a home is like fetching water in a basket to waste. It is good to know that God expands the world through you and I. He does not need to create another man or woman to make the world a better place, you and I have been tasked with the duty. You are a product of so...

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel Week 43, Day 5, Thursday, 24th October 2024 TOPIC: BUILD YOURSELF: Build A Career (5)

Image
TOPIC: BUILD YOURSELF: Build A Career (5) MEMORY VERSE: Jude 1:20 "20. But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost." BIBLE READING: 2 Thessalonians 3:7 - 10 "7. For you know that you ought to imitate us. We were not idle when we were with you." "8. We never accepted food from anyone without paying for it. We worked hard day and night so we would not be a burden to any of you.  "9. We certainly had the right to ask you to feed us, but we wanted to give you an example to follow." "10. Even while we were with you, we gave you this command: “Those unwilling to work will not get to eat.” Thinking Point: Building a spiritual growth with good manners without a career makes one a dependant. Don't let your hand be idle. With the way the world is right now, no one should be a burden on another. No one is permitted to be lazy and depend on those who are diligent, everyone must find something to ...

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel Week 43, Day 3, Wednesday, 23rd October 2024 TOPIC: BUILD YOURSELF: Build your Character (4)

Image
TOPIC: BUILD YOURSELF: Build your Character (4) MEMORY VERSE: Jude 1:20 "20. But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost." BIBLE READING: 2 Timothy 1:7 7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and SELF-DISCIPLINE. Thinking Point: Being anointed by God does not replace good Character. Characters need to be built as we build our spiritual growth. Beloved of God, building one's self is in different categories. That you build yourself spiritually doesn't take away personal character building. Relating with people entails good character and behaviour. Being spiritually grounded is different from having good manners. Samson is a good example of God's grace who lacks good character; he couldn't control himself when it comes to women, Judges 14:1-2,16:1-2, 4-5. The senior prophet was anointed but lacks the character to control his jealousy against the young prophet, 1 Kings...

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel Week 43, Day 2, Tuesday, 22nd October 2024 TOPIC: BUILD YOURSELF: Build your Faith (3)

Image
TOPIC: BUILD YOURSELF: Build your Faith (3) MEMORY VERSE: Jude 1:20 "20. But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost." BIBLE READING: Romans 10:17 "17. So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." Thinking Point: The Main source of Faith is the word of God - The bible. One can't pray to the God he never believed in. Without Faith we can't trust God for anything; and receiving from Him is not possible. If our faith is not built, access to receiving from God is blocked. Jesus made it known that our faith is paramount to what happens In our lives, may I ask you, are you still building your faith? Are you feeding your faith? The faith that is not built is the faith that expires, that doubt, that weary In the face of opposition and triers. How do we build our faith then? By consistently reading the word of God, studying the scripture, digesting it and working in accordance with what ...

TOPIC: BUILD YOURSELF: Pray In The Holy Ghost (2) MEMORY VERSE: Jude 1:20 "20. But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost." BIBLE READING: 1 Corinthians 14:2. "2. For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries." Thinking Point: Building yourself by praying in the Holy Ghost is increasing your spirit man. This day, we will be located for God's purpose for our lives in Jesus' Mighty Name, Amen. As we continue on building ourselves, we need to build ourselves in praying in the Holy Ghost, speaking in an unknown tongue. When we do such we are building our spirit man, we are praying in a language of the heavens which the devil or his agent can't comprehend. Apostle Paul says in 1 Corinthians 14:4, that we edify ourselves. "4. He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself:..." W...

TOPIC: BUILD YOURSELF: Your Prayer Life (1) MEMORY VERSE: Jude 1:20 "20. But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost." BIBLE READING: 1 Thessalonians 5:17, 25 "  "17. Pray without ceasing." "25. Brethren, pray for us." Thinking Point: The more you tarry in the place of prayer, the more you enjoy communion with God. This week, I have the urge to speak on building ourselves in various areas, and for today our focus is Prayer. If we need to build anything first in life, it starts with prayer. This should be the foundation of everything we are willing to do. Solomon speaking in Proverbs 16:3, said, "3. Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established." The foundation of every success starts with prayer. What is prayer? Reminding God of His promises. Communication between God and man. The effectiveness of Prayer can never be overemphasized in all we do. Paul admonishe...

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel Week 42, Day 7Saturday, 19th October 2024 TOPIC: LET US PRAY: Lord, Have Mercy On Me (7)

Image
TOPIC: LET US PRAY: Lord, Have Mercy On Me (7) MEMORY VERSE: 1 Thessalonians 5:17. Pray without ceasing. BIBLE READING: Mark 10:46-47. "46. And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging." "47. And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me." Thinking Point: God's mercy endures forever, it's not limited or insufficient. So, we should make it a duty to ask for Mercy every moment of our lives. It's the last day of our prayer week, and I believe God has answered our prayers beyond our expectations these past days. The result will begin to show forth in Jesus' Mighty Name, Amen.  We round up today by asking for God's Mercy. God's Mercy is the door to accessing the Almightiness of God. Mercy is not our mean target, but it's what we ...

TOPIC: LET US PRAY: Let My Book Of Record be Open (6) MEMORY VERSE: 1 Thessalonians 5:17. Pray without ceasing. BIBLE READING: Malachi 3:16. "16. Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name." Thinking Point: Brethren, we need to keep praying to God until He remembers our sacrifices. Have you gotten to the level where you complain and lament your sacrifice and commitment to God? Maybe you are fed up with prayers, kingdom stewardship, sacrifices and goodwill to all men, all we need to do is to keep praying to God like what was recorded in our Bible reading. The righteous were complaining about the wicked flourishing while they suffer.  Malachi 3:14-15. "14. Ye have said, It is vain to serve God: and what profit is it that we have kept his ordinance, and that we have walked mournfully before the LORD...

Image
TOPIC: LET US PRAY: Let Me Be Compensated (5) MEMORY VERSE: 1 Thessalonians 5:17. Pray without ceasing. BIBLE READING: Esther 8:1-2 "1. On that day did the king Ahasuerus give the house of Haman the Jews' enemy unto Esther the queen. And Mordecai came before the king; for Esther had told what he was unto her." "2. And the king took off his ring, which he had taken from Haman, and gave it unto Mordecai. And Esther set Mordecai over the house of Haman." Thinking Point: When God restores lost and denied fortunes, it comes in multiples in order to show the Mightiness of God. Before this year passes by, we will be compensated beyond our expectations in Jesus name, Amen. Many times, we think we have been forgotten, neglected and rejected by God. We serve but nothing to show. We were diligent in all our doings but it seems nobody is seeing our contributions. Sometimes people make jokes and laugh at us because we have nothing to prove for our services and co...

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel Week 42, Day 3 Tuesday, 15th October 2024 TOPIC: LET US PRAY: Let My Lot Be Released (4)

Image
TOPIC: LET US PRAY: Let My Lot Be Released (4) MEMORY VERSE: 1 Thessalonians 5:17. Pray without ceasing. BIBLE READING: Psalms 125:3-4. "3. For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity." "4. Do good, O LORD, unto those that be good, and to them that are upright in their hearts." Thinking Point: It's a reproach for the righteous to be at the mercy of the wicked. The godly should not be tempted to do evil. We shall be free from the wickedness of the wicked, their weapon shall be void over our lives in Jesus name, Amen. When the wicked rejoice over the righteous it doesn't bring glory to God, it doesn't prove the mightiness of our God.  David said,  Psalms 25:1-3 "1. Unto thee, O LORD, do I lift up my soul." "2. O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me." "3. Yea, let none that wait on thee be as...

TOPIC: LET US PRAY: Consequences of My Decision (3) MEMORY VERSE: 1 Thessalonians 5:17. Pray without ceasing. BIBLE READING: Genesis 4:11-12 "11. And now art thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother's blood from thy hand;" "12. When thou tillest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield unto thee her strength; a fugitive and a vagabond shalt thou be in the earth." Thinking Point: Every action has consequences but the mercy of God can deliver one from it. A pleasant day for you all In Jesus name. Our God is a merciful God. He forgives and pardons us of our sins and shortcomings but not without consequences. He pays back whatever we sow but he shows Mercy when we call on Him.  Cain was punished for killing his brother, Abel. He was the first murderer. He paid for his act. Did you notice he had the opportunity to speak with God directly? But he never asked for mercy, he was claiming right, he even proved that his p...

TOPIC: LET US PRAY: Hear My Cry When I'm Alive (2) MEMORY VERSE: 1 Thessalonians 5:17. Pray without ceasing. BIBLE READING: Exodus 3:7-8 "7. And the LORD said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows;" "8. And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, ..." Thinking Point: It is the expectation of everyone to be heard and receive response when they cry, what is the use of help when the victim has been despised? This week, our voices for help shall receive the right response in Jesus name, Amen. God met with Moses and gave him an assignment because of the cry of the Israelites. He was in the forest after being a fugitive for forty years. God was so concerned that He attracted Moses with a burning bush, all because the Israelite cried in Egypt. God will raise someone to help us when we are still alive because of our cry i...

TOPIC: LET US PRAY: Pour Upon Me Your Spirit (1) MEMORY VERSE: 1 Thessalonians 5:17. Pray without ceasing. BIBLE READING: Isaiah 32:15 "15. until at last the Spirit is poured out on us from heaven. Then the wilderness will become a fertile field, and the fertile field will yield bountiful crops." Thinking Point: Prayer is a dialog between God and man, for the reminder of His promises. This week, our voice of cry shall be heard by God and man, we will be attended to from all areas of life in Jesus mighty name, Amen. In the book of Joel 2:28-29, the Lord said, "28. And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:" "29. And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit." The Spirit of the Lord, as promised for the last day, has many assignments to perform in t...

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel Week 41, Day 7 Saturday, 12th October 2024 TOPIC: WALKING WITH GOD: LIVE IN GRATITUDE (7)

Image
TOPIC: WALKING WITH GOD: LIVE IN GRATITUDE (7) MEMORY VERSE: Genesis 17:1 "1 When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to Abram and said to him, “I am Almighty God; walk before Me and be blameless." BIBLE READING: 2 Kings 3:3-5. "3 And Solomon loved the LORD, walking in the statutes of his father David, except that he sacrificed and burned incense at the high places. 4 Now the king went to Gibeon to sacrifice there, for that was the great high place: Solomon offered a thousand burnt offerings on that altar. 5 At Gibeon the LORD appeared to Solomon in a dream by night; and God said, “Ask! What shall I give you?” Thinking Point: A heart of Gratitude makes walking with God easier. Complaining and grumbling will set one far away from walking with God. The attitude that God does not condone is murmuring, complaining or better say, ingratitude. He can't move with one that only complains of what God has not done or what he/she lacks. A complainer l...

TOPIC: WALKING WITH GOD: Living By His Word (6) MEMORY VERSE: Genesis 17:1 "1 When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to Abram and said to him, “I am Almighty God; walk before Me and be blameless." BIBLE READING: John 17:17 "17. Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth." Thinking Point: God's word shows us the path to walk and reveals the interest of God to those who will enjoy fellowship with Him. If there is any weapon for believers to make our walk with God easier, it's the Word Of God - Bible. The word of God is the mind of God, whatever God will do, His word has the ability to do. God's word is the presence of God residing with us as long as we have it in and with us.  What His word will do. "1. His word cleanses and sanctifies us, John 17:17. To walk with God we need His sanctification. God spoke to Moses, "tell my people to sanctify themselves and come before me." To be sanctified means to be clean...

TOPIC: WALKING WITH GOD: Walking By Faith. (5) MEMORY VERSE: Genesis 17:1 "1 When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to Abram and said to him, “I am Almighty God; walk before Me and be blameless." BIBLE READING: Hebrews 11:17-19. "17. By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac, and he who had received the promises offered up his only begotten son," "18. of whom it was said, “In Isaac your seed shall be called," "19. Concluding That God Was Able To Raise Him Up, Even From The Dead, from which he also received him in a figurative sense." Thinking Point: Faith is another crucial tool in walking with God. Faith simply means, "He Is Right, Do What He Says". To walk with God entails a working Faith. What is Faith? "It is believing all will be well because God said it, even when it doesn't look like it". It means, "What He says is right, do what He says". Someone defines Faith in ...

TOPIC: WALKING WITH GOD: Consistent Prayers (4) MEMORY VERSE: Genesis 17:1 "1 When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to Abram7n and said to him, “I am Almighty God; walk before Me and be blameless." BIBLE READING: Luke 22:40-42. 40 When He came to the place, He said to them, “Pray that you may not enter into temptation.”   41 And He was withdrawn from them about a stone’s throw, and He knelt down and prayed, 42 saying, “Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done.” Thinking Point: Prayer is significant when it comes to walking with God. God wants consistent communication with us. To walk with God means to communicate, hear and receive instructions directly from Him. To walk with God is to be fervent in prayers. Prayers have no specific time, place or types. Prayer is communicating with God, in any language which includes the language of the Spirit. Prayer is two channels, which is, speaking ...

TOPIC: WALKING WITH GOD: Control Over Your Word (utterances) (3) MEMORY VERSE: Genesis 17:1 "1 When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to Abram and said to him, “I am Almighty God; walk before Me and be blameless." BIBLE READING: Numb. 14:28. "28 Say to them, ‘As I live,’ says the LORD, ‘just as you have spoken in My hearing, so I will do to you:" Thinking Point: The utterances of a believer should reflect Faith in Christ under any circumstances.  When we walk with God, the consciousness of His presence must be in our heart. The children of Israel knew God was with them, seeing all the miraculous signs and wonders they've experienced right from the land of Egypt to the wilderness. Provisions of water, food, strength and unexpected acts of God, despite all these, they lack the consciousness of controlling the words of their mouth. When situations arise, they spill out hurting words to God's servant. They speak carelessly without co...

TOPIC: WALKING WITH GOD: Control Over Our Thought (2) MEMORY VERSE: Genesis 17:1 "1 When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to Abram and said to him, “I am Almighty God; walk before Me and be blameless." BIBLE READING: 2 Corinthian 10:4-5 "4. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds," "5. casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, Bringing Every Thought Into Captivity To The Obedience Of Christ." Thinking Point: The thoughts of our heart have a direct impact on our walk with Jesus. One of the things the devil uses in bringing people down is the thought in the heart of Men. The thought of a man determines who he/she becomes. You can't grow beyond your thought. When the thought of one's heart is evil, nothing positive can be achieved by such a person. If we will walk with God, we need the battle of the heart to be handled ...

BIBLE READING: Romans 12:2 "2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.  Thinking Point: If there's anything God desires from us, it's to be able to walk by His side in all circumstances. May I let you know that the Blessings can't be accessed fully without walking with God. Walking with God is what attracts the blessings of God and there are steps to walking with God. Today we will start with the first step, which I call "A Renewed Mind". Our natural mind can't walk with God because our mind can't comprehend the mightiness of God, thus we can't walk with God with the natural mind. Our natural mi...
