Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel Week 48, Day 7, Saturday, 30th November 2024 TOPIC: QUALITIES OF KING SOLOMON: Solomon Was Selfless (7)

Image
TOPIC: QUALITIES OF KING SOLOMON: Solomon Was Selfless (7)  MEMORY VERSE:  2 Samuel 12:24 And David comforted Bathsheba his wife, and went in unto her, and lay with her: and she bare a son, and he called his name Solomon: AND THE LORD LOVED HIM. BIBLE READING:  1 Kings 3:9. "9. Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people?" Thinking Point: Reasons for praying amiss is selfishness and self centred. When we are selfless we pray rightly.  God has been faithful to us all, it's the last day of the month of November, regardless of your present situation, wherever you are at this moment, just show Him gratitude for keeping you till date, Hallelujah. If there's anything that makes God happy and satisfied, it's when you sacrifice for others, when you put others in mind even before God. God created us "all" to be a watchman for one ano...

TOPIC: QUALITIES OF KING SOLOMON: Solomon Portray Humility In His Word (6)  MEMORY VERSE:  2 Samuel 12:24 And David comforted Bathsheba his wife, and went in unto her, and lay with her: and she bare a son, and he called his name Solomon: AND THE LORD LOVED HIM. BIBLE READING:  1 Kings 3:7-8 "7. And now, O LORD my God, thou hast made thy servant king instead of David my father: and I am but a little child: I know not how to go out or come in." "8. And thy servant is in the midst of thy people which thou hast chosen, a great people, that cannot be numbered nor counted for multitude." Thinking Point: There's a tiny line between Pride and Faith. Arrogance is synonymous to Pride while Humility is a proof of Faith. As the week ends today, our remaining portion will not elude us, what God has begun in our lives will be perfected this week in Jesus' Mighty Name, Amen. We are studying another attribute of Solomon which is Humility. Humility isn't gent...

TOPIC: QUALITIES OF KING SOLOMON: Solomon Acknowledges God's Faithfulness (5)  MEMORY VERSE:  2 Samuel 12:24 And David comforted Bathsheba his wife, and went in unto her, and lay with her: and she bare a son, and he called his name Solomon: AND THE LORD LOVED HIM. BIBLE READING:  1 Kings 3:6. 6. And Solomon said, Thou hast shewed unto thy servant David my father great mercy, according as he walked before thee in truth, and in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with thee; and thou hast kept for him this great kindness, that thou hast given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is this day. Thinking Point: One of the reasons we haven't accessed God's attention is, not acknowledging Past Faithfulness of God over our lives. I decree this morning, our testimony will not be obstructed anymore, everything, power, spirit, authority or human delaying that complete testimony, Today, heaven send them on an errand of no return in Jesus' Mighty Name, Amen. TOPIC: QUALITIES OF KING SOLOMON: Solomon Was A Wise Man (4)  MEMORY VERSE:  2 Samuel 12:24 And David comforted Bathsheba his wife, and went in unto her, and lay with her: and she bare a son, and he called his name Solomon: AND THE LORD LOVED HIM. BIBLE READING:  1 Kings 2:9. "9. Now therefore hold him not guiltless: FOR THOU ART A WISE MAN, and knowest what thou oughtest to do unto him; but his hoar head bring thou down to the grave with blood. Thinking Point: Wisdom is paramount to greatness and success in a level. No matter the qualities we possess, Wisdom is still very much needed. May the favour of God go ahead of us today and bring us in contact with the right helpers in Jesus' Mighty Name, Amen. King Solomon was a man filled with good qualities ever before he met the Lord. He loved the Lord, was a sacrificial person and knew how to please the Lord rightly. He is also a wise son. David His father said this while handing over to him. He said, "For thou ar...

TOPIC: QUALITIES OF KING SOLOMON: He Sacrificed At The Best Place (3)  MEMORY VERSE:  2 Samuel 12:24 And David comforted Bathsheba his wife, and went in unto her, and lay with her: and she bare a son, and he called his name Solomon: AND THE LORD LOVED HIM. BIBLE READING:  1 Kings 3:3-4 "4. And the king went to Gibeon to sacrifice there; for that was the great high place: a thousand burnt offerings did Solomon offer upon that altar." Thinking Point: Sacrificing at the right place matters to God. Sacrifice may be pleasant but sacrificed at the wrong place, to the wrong person or at the wrong time. It is my prayer this morning that we will not offer sacrifices that will work against us in Jesus' Mighty name, Amen.  The Bible is filled with many sacrifices that destroy the offeree. The likes of Cain, King Saul, King Jeroboam, and many kings after King Solomon did offer sacrifice that ended their lives or brought destruction upon them. It's not about offering ...

TOPIC: QUALITIES OF KING SOLOMON: He Was A Sacrificial Man (2)  MEMORY VERSE:  2 Samuel 12:24 And David comforted Bathsheba his wife, and went in unto her, and lay with her: and she bare a son, and he called his name Solomon: AND THE LORD LOVED HIM. BIBLE READING:  1 Kings 3:3-4 "3. And Solomon loved the LORD, walking in the statutes of David his father: only he sacrificed and burnt incense in high places. 4. And the king went to Gibeon to sacrifice there; for that was the great high place: a thousand burnt offerings did Solomon offer upon that altar." Thinking Point: Being sacrificial is a character not only a product of Love. Many can love and still be stingy. Be sacrificial. As we go through the last week of November, the purpose of God will be established in and around our lives, we are ending this year with celebration in Jesus' Mighty name, Amen. Solomon loved the Lord, that was our discovery yesterday. Today, we focus on His sacrificial life. Solomon is...

TOPIC: QUALITIES OF KING SOLOMON: He Love The Lord. MEMORY VERSE:  2 Samuel 12:24 And David comforted Bathsheba his wife, and went in unto her, and lay with her: and she bare a son, and he called his name Solomon: AND THE LORD LOVED HIM. BIBLE READING:  1 Kings 3:3. "3. And Solomon loved the LORD, walking in the statutes of David his father: only he sacrificed and burnt incense in high places. Thinking Point: The proof of our love for God is walking in His precept daily. This week, God will answer your hidden prayers and make them living testimonies that the world will celebrate, Amen. I welcome you to this new series of teaching on Lessons to learn from the life of Solomon. I believe we all know about King Solomon who was a son of King David and Bathsheba. Bathsheba was the wife of Uriah, (David's warrior), whom King David took advantage of. God judged David and wouldn't allowed the child to live. But the Lord gave them another child called Solomon and the scr...

TOPIC: Studying John 6:1-15. Be Alone To Regain Your Status (14)   MEMORY VERSE:  John 6:6. "6. And this he said to prove him: for he himself knew what he would do." BIBLE READING:  John 6:15. "15. When Jesus therefore perceived that they would come and take him by force, to make him a king, HE DEPARTED AGAIN INTO A MOUNTAIN HIMSELF ALONE. Thinking Point: Always fall back to remember who you ARE when men try to tell you who they think you are or who you should be.  Blessed be the Lord who has been with us this past week, who made things work out for His purpose and for our good, to Him alone be the glory forevermore. It's been a journey of two weeks with the Studying of John 6:1-15. Many lessons the Lord has revealed to us beyond the feeding of five thousand men with five loaves of bread and two fishes, we give Him the praise for those revelations. Today, as we round it up, we need to always go back to God alone to ask more about ourselves. We need...

TOPIC: Studying John 6:1-15. Don't BeTitled Oriented (13)    MEMORY VERSE:  John 6:6. "6. And this he said to prove him: for he himself knew what he would do." BIBLE READING:  John 6:15. "15. When Jesus therefore perceived that they would come and take him by force, to make him a king, he departed again into a mountain himself alone." Thinking Point: Title shouldn't be the motivation of your zeal for God. When you are titled oriented you tend to become 'man pleaser'. Thank God it's Friday, our hope for this week will not be dashed as the working day ends in Jesus' Name, Amen. Everyone we bless will always have a way of showing gratitude but we have to be sensitive to know if their appreciation is in line with God's will for our lives. Yes, some may want to reward you with funds to start your church/project, we need God's leading to be sensitive in the collection of rewards. I once heard the testimony of Minister Panam Perc...

TOPIC: Studying John 6:1-15. Our Acts Should Announce us (12)    MEMORY VERSE:  John 6:6. "6. And this he said to prove him: for he himself knew what he would do." BIBLE READING:  John 6:14. "14. Then those men, when they had seen the miracle that Jesus did, said, This is of a truth that prophet that should come into the world." Thinking Point: Do you need to speak for yourself or do your actions speak for you? Our actions should let others know us better without our voice. What the Lord has predestined for us for this month shall be released and handed over to us, even in arrears in Jesus' Mighty Name, Amen. There is a saying that, "Action speaks louder than voice", sometimes, silence speaks louder than what we should have said, this is the case of Jesus our Lord. We all remember this parable of our Lord, "28. But what think ye? A certain man had two sons; and he came to the first, and said, Son, go work to day in my vineyard. ...

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel Week 47, Day 4, Wednesday, 20th November 2024 TOPIC: Studying John 6:1-15. Abundance In That Little (11)

TOPIC: Studying John 6:1-15. Abundance In That Little (11)    MEMORY VERSE:  John 6:6. "6. And this he said to prove him: for he himself knew what he would do." BIBLE READING:  John 6:13 "13. Therefore they gathered them together, and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of the five barley loaves, which remained over and above unto them that had eaten." Thinking Point: Every abundance is possible, in that little you are willing to release. Handing over to Jesus is receiving abundance. We shall not lack, we shall not beg neither shall we borrow in Jesus' wonderful name, Amen. Leftover of twelve baskets filled with bread and fish. In the right calculation, 5 bread + 2 Fish = 5 bread and 2 fishes, but in the hands of God it equals "infinity". Five thousand men with multitude of children and committed women, also considering those who were still expecting to receive miracles during Jesus' service, meaning we are talking of over ten thou...

TOPIC: Studying John 6:1-15. Avoid Waste Of Resources (10)   MEMORY VERSE:  John 6:6. "6. And this he said to prove him: for he himself knew what he would do." BIBLE READING:  John 6:12 "12. When they were filled, he said unto his disciples, Gather up the fragments that remain, that nothing be lost. Thinking Point: Jesus dislikes wasting resources from anywhere. Whatever He releases He wants it used diligently and wisely. The Lord shall increase your might today, you shall do marvelously in your endeavours without regret in Jesus' Mighty Name, Amen. Our God loves releasing His blessings upon His children. His desire is to see His children blessed and be a blessing to others but His displeasure is wasting resources. When God made manna available for the children of Israeli, He gave them a command,  "4. Then said the LORD unto Moses, Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; AND THE PEOPLE SHALL GO OUT AND GATHER A CERTAIN RATE EVERY DAY, that I m...

TOPIC: Studying John 6:1-15. Jesus to His Disciples, Disciples to the People (9)   MEMORY VERSE:  John 6:6. "6. And this he said to prove him: for he himself knew what he would do." BIBLE READING:  John 6:11. "11. ..., he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would." Thinking Point: Believers are a link between God and the world, as Jesus reached others through His disciples. This week, we shall be blessed, be a blessing to others in Jesus' Mighty name, we receive wisdom to break through every limitation in Jesus' Name, Amen. Reaching others for God and linking others to God, is our duties as Christians. Believers are called to make more believers not to keep to ourselves what makes us a believer. Everything we have or given is for the glory of God not ours. We are blessed to be a blessing. We are lifted to lift others. We are saved to save others. We are called to c...

TOPIC: Studying John 6:1-15. Thanksgiving, A Proof Of Faith (8)  MEMORY VERSE:  John 6:6. "6. And this he said to prove him: for he himself knew what he would do." BIBLE READING:  John 6:11. "11. And Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would." Thinking Point: Giving Of Thanks is Faith-ing what God can do, not only what He has done. Being an ingrate is described as when one chooses to complain instead of giving thanks to God for what we believe He can do though he has not. To give thanks is not restricted to a certain period or season in a believer's life, it's meant to be every moment as long as we live. One of the reasons we lack and suffer most is lack of thanking God. The Israelites' complaints brought destruction in the wilderness, their lack of appreciation stopped them from entering the promised la...

TOPIC: Studying John 6:1-15. Importance of Orderliness (7)  MEMORY VERSE:  John 6:6. "6. And this he said to prove him: for he himself knew what he would do." BIBLE READING :  John 6:10. "10. And Jesus said, Make the men sit down. Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand. Thinking Point: Lack of orderliness has created a lot of confusion in and out of the church and lives. It's another weekend where your stress and fears will be subdued in Jesus Mighty name, Amen. Any life that lacks orderliness remains tattered, scattered and confused on what to do and how to do things. Orderliness in where to go, time allocation and management plays a vital role in enjoying God's Blessings. Orderliness brings good organisation. Orderliness at home, office, place of worship, including carrying out our duties as spouse, parents, children and relatives. When we are not orderly we perform better in one area and worse in o...

TOPIC: Studying John 6:1-15. Little becomes Multiple with God (6)  MEMORY VERSE:  John 6:6. "6. And this he said to prove him: for he himself knew what he would do." BIBLE READING:  John 6:10. "10. AND JESUS SAID, MAKE THE MEN SIT DOWN. Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand." Thinking Point: God is a God of Addition while devil is the god of subtraction. God does Good, while the devil does evil. The God we serve will prove Himself in our lives; our services to Him will profit us in Jesus' Mighty name, Amen. One of the reasons we serve God is to enjoy increase and enlargement but we need to walk with Him to a level before we enjoy these great benefits. Let me share this with you, the word "God" is synonymous to "GOOD". When you add an "O" to GOD, it gives you "GOOD". On the other hand, the word Devil is synonymous to evil, when you subtract the letter "D...

Philip answered him, Two hundred pennyworth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one of them may take a little." "8. One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, saith unto him, "9. There is a lad here, which hath five barley loaves, and two small fishes: but what are they among so many?" Thinking Point: Let your words motivate others, not to discourage and pull them down. May the words of our mouth and the meditation of our heart be a blessing to others in Jesus name, Amen. As believers, what words come from us, does it weigh others down or lift them up? Do we motivate or discourage others concerning their dreams? Do people avoid you when they have good plans for their lives or they are happy to discuss it with you? How solutio...

One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, saith unto him," "9. There is a lad here, which hath five barley loaves, and two small fishes: but what are they among so many?" Thinking Point: Not all negative responses are to be neglected, positive news could be hidden in negative responses. Be sensitive. The wisdom to see the good in every bad around our lives will be released upon us this week, we will see the positive in all negativity in Jesus' Mighty Name, Amen. Many believers are prey to negative responses and reports without being sensitive to see through the response. That colours are b...

"5. When Jesus then lifted up his eyes, and saw a great company come unto him, he saith unto Philip, "Whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat?" "6. And this he said to prove him: for he himself knew what he would do." Thinking Point: Our God is all knowing who knows the way out of all predicaments and also knows when to act on our behalf. This Lord bless and favour us with the needed help of heaven today, in Jesus' Mighty name Amen. Beloved, the Lord is not clueless about what we are going through in life. He is aware, like Panam Percy Paul's song which says, "He Knows, He See, He Feel what you Feel, He is the one who cares for you." Not that He knows alone, He also knows the way out of that situation. When Jesus then lifted up his eyes, and saw a great company come unto him, he saith unto Philip, Whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat?" Thinking Point: Out of sight is out of mind. God attends to those who follow Him first before others. It's a wonderful week for us, our work shall profit and enlarge us this week, our going out and coming in is blessed in Jesus' Mighty Name, Amen. We established the fact that, following Jesus in this generation shouldn't be for miracles and blessings only, but following the saviour who knows us beyond our knowledge. Today, our study is on what we enjoy by following Him? Firstly, we enjoy His care in every area of our lives. Yes, not just spiritual area, I mean including our feeding, drinking, clothing and r...

Thinking Point: As believers in our days, many followers of Jesus followed Him for wrong reasons. Why are we following Jesus? This week will work for us, respond positively in all our endeavours, those doors opened by God will be accessible for us all in Jesus' Most wonderful name, Amen. Beloved of God, I welcome you to this new series of study of God's word. We shall be digging deep into how Jesus worked on earth and draw some lessons which are applicable to our lives today.
